Anodizing of aluminium and its alloys - Rating system for the evaluation of pitting corrosion - Grid method (ISO 8994:2011)

This International Standard specifies a grid rating system that provides a means of defining levels of performance of anodic oxidation coatings on aluminium and its alloys that have been subjected to corrosion tests. This rating system is applicable to pitting corrosion resulting from ? accelerated tests, ? exposure to corrosive environments, and ? practical service tests. This International Standard takes into account only pitting corrosion of the basis metal resulting from penetration of the protective anodic oxidation coating.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Rasterbewertungssystem fest, das es ermöglicht, die Gebrauchstauglichkeit
von anodisch erzeugten Oxidschichten auf Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen zu bestimmen,
die Korrosionsprüfungen unterworfen wurden.
Das Bewertungssystem ist auf Lochkorrosion anwendbar, die auftritt nach
- Schnellkorrosionsversuchen,
- Bewitterung durch korrosive Umgebungen, und
- praktischen Gebrauchsprüfungen.
Diese Internationale Norm berücksichtigt nur die Lochkorrosion des Grundmetalls, die aus der Durchdringung
der anodisch erzeugten Oxidschicht resultiert.
ANMERKUNG 1 ISO 8993[3] beschreibt ein ähnliches Bewertungssystem auf Basis der Richtreihenmethode.
ANMERKUNG 2 Dieses System dient häufig zur Bewertung der Ergebnisse von Schnellkorrosionsprüfungen an relativ
dünnen anodisch erzeugten Schichten, die in der Kraftfahrzeugindustrie angewendet werden.

L'ISO 8994:2011 spécifie un système de cotation par quadrillage qui permet de définir des niveaux de performance des couches anodiques déposées sur l'aluminium et ses alliages, soumises à des essais de corrosion.
Ce système de cotation s'applique à la corrosion par piqûres résultant
d'essais accélérés,
de l'exposition à des milieux corrosifs, et
d'essais pratiques en service.
L'ISO 8994:2011 ne tient compte que de la corrosion par piqûres du métal de base résultant de la pénétration de la couche anodique de protection.

Ta mednarodni standard določa rastrski ocenjevalni sistem, ki zagotavlja način določevanja ravni učinkovitosti anodno oksidiranih prevlek na aluminiju in njegovih zlitinah, ki so bile predmet korozijskih preskusov. Ta ocenjevalni sistem se uporablja za jamičasto korozijo, ki izhaja iz ? pospešenih preskusov, ? izpostavljenosti korozivnim okoljem, in ? praktičnih preskusov med delovanjem. Ta mednarodni standard upošteva samo jamičasto korozijo osnovne kovine, ki izhaja iz penetracije zaščitne anodno oksidirane plasti.

This document (EN ISO 8994:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 79 "Light metals and
their alloys" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 “Aluminium and aluminium alloys” the
secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by September 2011.
