Protective clothing for users of hand-held chain-saws - Part 3: Test methods for footwear

This European Standard specifies test methods to be used to assess the resistance of footwear to cutting by hand-held chain saws.   Methods for other forms of foot and leg protection e.g. gaiters against hand-held chain saws will be covered in other standards.   This standard only covers footwear with integral protection.

Der dritte Teil dieser Norm spezifiziert Prüfverfahren zur Ermittlung des Schnittwiderstandes von Schuhwerk gegen Schnitte durch handgeführte Kettensägen. Prüfverfahren für andere Arten von Fuß- und Beinschutz (z.B. G Gamaschen) gegen Schnitte durch handgeführte Kettensägen werden in anderen Normen geregelt. Diese Norm bezieht sich nur auf Schuhwerk mit integriertem Schnittschutz.

La présente norme spécifie les méthodes a utiliser pour évaluer la résistance des chaussures aux coupures dues aux scies a chaîne tenues a la main. Les méthodes concernant les autres formes de protection du pied et de la jambe contre les coupures dues aux scies a chaîne tenues a la main, par exemple les guetres, feront l'objet d'autres normes. La présente norme ne traite que des chaussures a protection intégrée.
