This European pre-standard specifies mechanical and structural safety requirements for all types of domestic tables excluding .

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Mindestanforderungen an die Sicherheit, Festigkeit und Dauerhaltbarkeit für alle Arten von Tischen im Wohnbereich für Erwachsene fest, einschließlich Tische mit Bauteilen aus Glas.
Sie gilt nicht für Büro oder Schreibtische, Tische für den Gebrauch im Nicht Wohnbereich, Tische für Bildungseinrichtungen und Außentische, für die eigene EN Normen bestehen.
Sie gilt nicht für Tische, deren Tischplatten nicht an dem Unterbau befestigt sind, das heißt bei der Durchführung von Prüfung 3, Tabelle 2 löst sich die Tischplatte vom Unterbau.
Mit Ausnahme von Standfestigkeitsprüfungen enthält die Norm keine Bewertung hinsichtlich der Eignung von Aufbewahrungsvorrichtungen in Tischen für den Wohnbereich.
Sie enthält keine Anforderungen an die Dauerhaltbarkeit von Rollen und an Höhenverstelleinrichtungen.
Sie enthält keine Anforderungen an die elektrische Sicherheit.
Sie enthält keine Anforderungen an die Beständigkeit gegen Alterung oder Qualitätsminderung.
Anhang A enthält Prüfverfahren für die Durchbiegung von Tischplatten.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales relatives à la sécurité, à la résistance et à la
durabilité des tables pour adulte à usage domestique de tous types , y compris celles comportant du verre.
Elle ne s’applique ni aux tables ou bureaux faisant partie du mobilier de bureau, ni aux tables à usage non
domestique, ni aux tables pour les établissements d’enseignement, ni aux tables d’extérieur, qui font l’objet de
normes ou de projets de normes EN.
Elle ne s’applique pas aux tables auxquels le plateau n’est pas fixé à la structure qui le supporte, soit durant la
réalisation de l’essai 3 du Tableau 2, le plateau se désolidarise de sa structure qui le supporte.
A l’exception des essais de stabilité, la norme n’a pas pour objet d’évaluer l’aptitude à l’emploi des
rangements éventuellement intégrés aux tables à usage domestique.
Elle ne prescrit pas d’exigences relatives à la durabilité des roulettes et des mécanismes de réglage de la
hauteur.
Elle ne comporte pas d’exigences relatives à la sécurité électrique.
Elle ne fixe pas non plus d’exigences relatives à la résistance au vieillissement et à la dégradation.
L’Annexe A (informative) présente des méthodes d’essai de déflexion des plateaux de table.

Pohištvo - Trdnost, trajnost in varnost - Zahteve za mize za domačo uporabo
Ta evropski standard opredeljuje minimalne zahteve za varnost, trdnost in trajnost vseh vrst miz za domačo uporabo, ki jih uporabljajo odrasli, vključno z mizami s steklom v konstrukciji. Ne velja za pisarniške mize ali pulte, mize za uporabo izven doma, mize za izobraževalne ustanove in zunanje mize, za katere obstajajo standardi EN. Ne velja za mize, pri katerih zgornji del ni pritrjen na spodnjo strukturo, tj. pri izvedbi preskusa 3, Tabela 2, se zgornji del loči od spodnje strukture. Z izjemo preskusov stabilnosti standard ne predpisuje ocenjevanja primernosti funkcij shranjevanja, ki jih imajo mize za domačo uporabo. 1 Scope This European standard specifies the minimum requirements for the safety, strength and durability of all types of domestic tables for use by adults, including those with glass in their construction.
It does not apply to office tables or desks, tables for non-domestic use, tables for educational institutions and outdoor tables for which EN standards exist.
It does not apply to tables where the tabletop is not fixed to the understructure, i.e. when applying test 3, Table 2, the top becomes detached from the understructure. With the exception of stability tests, the standard does not provide assessment of the suitability of any storage features included in domestic tables. It does not include requirements for the durability of castors and height adjustment mechanisms. It does not include requirements for electrical safety.
It does not include requirements for the resistance to ageing and degradation. Annex A contains test methods for the deflection of tabletops. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
