Plastics piping systems for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage - Polypropylene with mineral modifier(s) (PP-MD) - Part 2: Guidance for the assessment of conformity
This European Technical Specification gives guidance for the assessment of conformity to be included in the manufacturer's quality plan as part of the quality system.
This Technical Specification includes:
a) requirements for materials, components, joints and assemblies given in EN 14758-1;
b) requirements for the manufacturer's quality system;
NOTE 1 It is recommended that the quality system conforms to EN ISO 9001 [1].
c) definitions and procedures to be applied if third party certification is involved.
NOTE 2 If third party certification is involved, it is recommended that the certification body is accredited to EN 45011 [2] or EN 45012 [3], as applicable.
This Technical Specification is applicable to piping systems made of polypropylene (PP-MD) intended to be used for
non pressure underground drainage and sewerage outside building structures (application area code "U"), reflected in the marking of products by "U"; and
non pressure underground drainage and sewerage for both buried in the ground within the building structure (application area code "D") and outside the building structure (application area code "U"), reflected in the marking of products by "UD".

Diese Europäische Technische Spezifikation gibt Empfehlungen für die Beurteilung der Konformität, die als Teil des Qualitätssicherungssystems im Qualitätssicherungsplan des Herstellers enthalten sein müssen.
Diese Technische Spezifikation enthält:
a) Anforderungen an Werkstoffe, Rohrleitungsteile, Verbindungen und Bauteilkombinationen, die in EN 14758-1 festgelegt sind;
b) Anforderungen an das Qualitätssicherungssystem des Herstellers;
ANMERKUNG 1 Es wird empfohlen, dass das Qualitätssicherungssystem EN ISO 9001 [1] entspricht.
c) Definitionen und Verfahren im Falle der Zertifizierung durch unparteiische Dritte.
ANMERKUNG 2 Wenn anwendbar, wird empfohlen, die Zertifizierung durch eine unabhängige Zertifizierungsstelle durchführen zu lassen, die nach EN 45011:1998 [2] oder EN 45012:1998 [3] zugelassen ist.
Diese Technische Spezifikation gilt für Rohrleitungssysteme aus Polypropylen (PP-MD), die für den Einsatz in erdverlegten Schwerkraftentwässerungssystemen
- außerhalb der Gebäudestrukturen (Anwendungskennzeichen "U"), durch die Kennzeichnung "U" der Rohrleitungsteile angezeigt, und
- innerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen "D") und außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen "U') , durch die Kennzeichnung "UD" der Rohrleitungsteile angezeigt,
vorgesehen sind.

La présente Spécification Technique européenne donne un guide pour l’évaluation de la conformité a inclure dans le plan qualité du fabricant en tant que partie de son systeme qualité.
La présente Spécification Technique comprend :
a) les exigences relatives aux matieres, composants, montages et assemblages indiqués dans l’EN 14758 1 ;
b) les exigences applicables au systeme qualité du fabricant.
NOTE 1 Il est recommandé que le systeme qualité soit conforme a l'EN ISO 9001 [1].
c) des définitions et des procédures a appliquer en cas de certification par tierce partie.
NOTE 2 En cas de certification par tierce partie, il est recommandé que l'organisme de certification soit accrédité conformément a l'EN 45011 [2] ou a l'EN 45012 [3], selon le cas.
La présente Spécification Technique est applicable aux systemes de canalisation en polypropylene (PP-MD) destinés a etre utilisés dans les applications suivantes :
branchements et collecteurs d'assainissement sans pression, enterrés a l'extérieur de la structure des bâtiments (code de zone d'application "U"), d’ou un marquage des produits par la lettre "U" ;
branchements et collecteurs d'assainissement sans pression, enterrés tant a l'intérieur de la structure des bâtiments (code de zone d'application "D") qu'a l'extérieur de la structure des bâtiments (code de zone d'application "U"), d’ou un marquage des produits par les lettres "UD".

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 23 June 2007 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their
comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS available
promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS)
until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.

Foreword
This document (CEN/TS 14758-2:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 “Plastics
piping systems and ducting systems”, the secretariat of which is held by NEN.
System Standards are based on the results of the work undertaken in ISO/TC 138 "Plastics pipes, fittings and
valves for the transport of fluids", which is a Technical Committee of the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO).
They are supported by separate standards on test methods to which references are made throughout the
System Standard.
The System Standards are consistent with general standards on functional requirements and on
recommended practice for installation.
EN 14758 consists of the following Parts, under the general title Plastics piping systems for non-pressure
underground drainage and sewerage — Polypropylene with mineral modifier(s) (PP-MD)

Part 1: Specifications for pipes, fittings and the system (amended in 2007)
Part 2: Guidance for the assessment of conformity (this Technical Specification)
Part 3: Guidance for installation (Technical Specification)

1 Scope
This European Technical Specification gives guidance for the assessment of conformity to be included in the
manufacturer's quality plan as part of the quality system.
This Technical Specification includes:
a) requirements for materials, components, joints and assemblies given in EN 14758-1;
b) requirements for the manufacturer's quality system;
NOTE 1 It is recommended that the quality system conforms to EN ISO 9001 [1].
c) definitions and procedures to be applied if third party certification is involved.

4 Requirements
4.1 General
4.1.1 Materials, components, joints and assemblies shall conform to the requirements given in
EN 14758-1:2005.
4.1.2 Components and/or assemblies shall be produced by the manufacturer under a quality system which
includes a quality plan.
