This European Standard specifies the procedures for evaluating the conformity of radiators/convectors to EN 442-1.  It specifies the procedures and methods for the initial evaluation and the controls required to maintain conformity.

It defines the initial evaluation of samples and the ongoing production controls required to maintain conformity, covering safety, performance and product information relevant to central heating systems.

• Thermal output stability: Production radiators must not deliver less than catalogue output minus 4%. Initial thermal output validity continues until design or manufacturing changes affect output.
• Durability tests: Pre-treatment and paint tested per clause 4 of EN 442-1.
• Product information and marking: Catalogues and labelling must meet the requirements set out in ZA.3 of EN 442-1.
