IEC TS 60286-6-1:2023 specifies a bulk case capable of containing miniaturized surface mount components of sizes within the range of 0402M to 1005M (see Table 1 for explanation of the codes). The bulk case is designed for transport and storage of components and to supply of components directly or by an appropriate feeder to the placement machine. The bulk case is equipped with a coupling interface to enable its automatic handling, e.g. by a robot or automatic handling machines.

IEC TR 60286-7:2019 contains information about the introduction of an innovative bulk blister packing system for miniaturized components, for example chip type components of size 1005 (metric) and smaller. It includes a proposal for standardization of the interface between the packaging and automatic assembly systems and requirements to the properties of the packaging.

Relates to the tape packaging of components for use in electronic equipment with two or more unidirectional leads. Covers requirements of taping techniques for use with equipment for preforming of leads, automatic handling and insertion, and other operations. Includes only those dimensions which are essential for the taping of components for the above-mentioned purposes.

The bulk case is designed for transport and store components and to supply them directly or by an appropriate feeder to the placement machine. Is attached to the automatic handling machine by means of a coupling interface.

Relates to the tape packaging of electronic components without leads or with lead stumps which are intended to be connected to electronic circuits. Includes only those dimensions which are essential for the taping of components for the above-mentioned purposes.
