1.1 This specification covers thermoplastic chlorinated polyethylene compounds suitable for use as an outer covering or jacket on electrical cables.  
1.2 These jacket materials are suitable for use on cables which will be installed at temperatures above -35°C.
1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units, except for temperature, are the standard. The values in parentheses are for information only.
