This document covers the construction, requirements and particular test methods for flat, flexible PVC or halogen-free insulated and sheathed cables, of rated voltage Uo/U 300/500 V and above 1 mm2, Uo/U 450/750 V for use in passenger and goods lifts (elevators), and Uo/U 450/750 V for general purposes and for special applications such as hoists and travelling cranes. NOTE 1 This revision is in accordance with an agreement with CEN TC 10 to specify in the same standard a) flexible cables for lifts as required by EN 81-series, and b) flexible cable for applications such as hoists and travelling cranes, previously found in HD 359. In accordance with this agreement, only those cables in Clauses 5 and 6 are suitable for use with EN 81-series. NOTE 2 The limits for the overall diameter of the cables have been calculated in accordance with EN 60719.

This part of IEC 60684 gives the requirements for non-heat-shrinkable sleeving, extruded from
compounds based on polychloroprene elastomer. This sleeving has been found suitable for
temperatures up to 95 °C.
Sleeving of this type is normally available with internal diameters up to 25 mm, and in the
following opaque colours: black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey, white and
pink. Sizes or colours other than those specifically listed in this document can possibly be
available as custom items. These items are considered to comply with this document if they
comply with the other property requirements listed in Table 2.
Materials which conform to this specification meet established levels of performance. However,
the selection of a material by a user for a specific application will be based on the actual
requirements necessary for adequate performance in the application and not based on the
specification alone.

IEC TR 62039:2021(E) presents the important material properties of polymeric materials used in outdoor insulation and, where applicable, lists standardized test methods including minimum requirements. If no standardized tests are available, the test methods reported in literature are summarized.
This document is valid for insulating materials having polymeric insulation, which are used in outdoor high voltage electrical applications with a system voltage greater than 1 000 V AC and 1 500 V DC (several tests are only defined for alternating current, which are not applicable for direct current). Such applications are relevant where the housing is an integral part of the device, for example in surge arresters and cable terminations. The scope of this document is limited to the insulation materials only and is not generally intended for coating materials (coating materials are, for example, thin layers applied on toughened glass and ceramic). Some tests mentioned in this document are applicable for coating and are under consideration by CIGRE. The performance of insulators in service depends on several factors such as the type of material, the design and environmental conditions. Consequently, the choice of materials that fulfil the requirements listed in Table 1 is a necessary condition but does not guarantee satisfactory performance when used in outdoor insulation.

This document gives specific requirements for halogen free polyolefin based sheathing compounds used for halogen free communication cables with improved characteristics in the case of fire.
Compounds, described by this document, are commonly also named HFFR or HFFR-LS (halogen free, flame/fire retardant, low smoke), see also EN 50290 2 20.
It is expected to be read in conjunction with EN 50290 2 20, the product standards EN 50288 series, EN 60794 series and other applicable product standards.
Improved characteristics in the case of fire are demonstrated by specific fire tests on cables for flame/fire retardant applications (e.g. single or bunched cable fire test). Additional tests to prove the characteristics in case of fire, e.g. such as smoke emission test, might also be part of the dedicated product standard or specification.
This document describes the compound types as given in Table 1.

IEC 62677-3-102:2018 is applicable to heat shrinkable medium voltage moulded shapes in a range of configurations suitable for insulation, environmental sealing, mechanical protection, strain relief for power cable terminations, joints and stop ends. These moulded shapes have been found suitable for use for temperatures between -40 °C and 100 °C. The moulded shapes can be supplied with a pre-coated adhesive. A guide to adhesive compatibility and temperature performance is given in Annex A. The manufacturers/suppliers can be consulted for options. Materials which conform to this document meet established levels of performance. However, the selection of a material by a user for a specific application will be based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and will not be based on this document alone. The tests specified are designed to control the quality of the moulded shapes but it is recognized that they are designed to be used in low and medium voltage cable accessories and as such electrical performance will be proven as part of the assembly. Examples of this are described in IEC 60502 (all parts), EN 50393 and HD 629. Keywords: Heat-shrinkable, polyolefin, anti-tracking moulded shapes for medium voltage applications

This European Standard specifies the test methods and requirements of tests for fingerprinting (as defined in 3.9) of solvent-free polymerizable, reacting resinous compound intended to be used for electrical insulation and/or mechanical protection in cable accessories covered by EN 50393, HD 629.1 and HD 629.2, for low and medium voltage up to 20,8/36 (42) kV. Fingerprinting testing of materials does not have a mandatory link to type testing of accessories. It is regarded as stand-alone tests, but it may be carried out in combination with the accessory type tests. NOTE Information on health and safety is given in Annex A.

This document gives the requirements for two types of heat-shrinkable, polyolefin sleeving, dual wall, not flame retarded with a nominal shrink ratio of 3:1. This sleeving has been found suitable for use at temperatures of up to 100 °C. • Type A: Medium wall, internal diameter up to 200,0 mm typically. • Type B: Thick wall, internal diameter up to 200,0 mm typically. These sleevings are normally supplied in colour black. Since these types of sleving cover a significantly large range of sizes and wall thicknesses, Annex A (Tables A.1 and A.2) provides a guide to the range of sizes available. The actual size will be agreed between the user and supplier. Materials which conform to this specification meet established levels of performance. However, the selection of a material by a user for a specific application will be based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and not based on this specification alone.
