Durability of wood and wood-based products - Moisture dynamics of wood and wood-based products

This document details a method for determining the water uptake and the effectiveness of the drying process on solid wood, wood-based materials or coated wood by means of water absorption and water vapour desorption. This document lays down a method to assess the moisture dynamics of wooden products which can be a contributing factor to the susceptibility to wood decay.

Dieses Dokument beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Wasseraufnahmevermögens und der Effektivität des Trocknungsprozesses bei Vollholz, Holzprodukten oder beschichtetem Holz durch Wasser-aufnahme und Wasserdampfabgabe. Darüber hinaus legt dieses Dokument ein Verfahren zur Beurteilung der Feuchte-Dynamik von Holzprodukten fest, die einen Einfluss auf die Anfälligkeit gegenüber Holzfäule haben kann.

La présente Norme européenne définit une méthode pour la détermination de l'absorption d'eau et de l'efficacité du processus de séchage du bois massif, des matériaux à base de bois ou du bois revêtu par des essais d'absorption d'eau et de désorption de vapeur d'eau. Cette Norme européenne fixe une méthode d'évaluation de la cinétique d'humidification des produits en bois, et indirectement de leur sensibilité à la pourriture.

Ta evropski standard določa metodo za ugotavljanje vpijanje vode in učinkovitosti procesa sušenja trdnega lesa, lesnih materialov ali prevlečenega lesa na podlagi absorpcije vode in desorpcije vodnih hlapov. Ta evropski standard podaja metodo za ocenjevanje dinamike vlage v lesnih izdelkih in posredno njihovo dovzetnost za lesno gnilobo.
