Specification for dedicated liquefied petroleum gas appliances - Parasol patio heaters - Flueless radiant heaters for outdoor or amply ventilated area use
This European standard sets out the design, safety and marking requirements and test methods for flueless patio heaters for outdoor or amply ventilated area use only.
Although they are not covered by this standard, the requirements of this standard are applicable to appliances that may be used inside habitations which, in addition, shall have a heat input not exceeding 4,2 kW and comply with EN 449.
These appliances are for use exclusively with gases of the third family as defined in 4.
This European standard applies to appliances that have a nominal heat input not exceeding 17 kW (based on the gross calorific value);
- fixed or,
- movable, including those which comprise a housing for a transportable and rechargeable liquefied petroleum gas cylinder.
This European standard does not apply to appliances equipped with a fan for either combustion or circulation of the convection air.
This European standard does not cover LPG containers for liquefied petroleum gas, neither their associated regulator nor tubing and flexible hoses which shall comply with national requirements in force.
This European standard does not lay down any specific requirements for the thermal efficiency of this type of appliances, but the requirements relating to combustion, which is a safety matter, ensure that the gas fuel will burn efficiently. However a method to measure the performance is described in informative annex C.
This standard does not apply to appliances covered by EN 416-1, EN 419-1, EN 449, EN 461 and EN 521.
Festlegungen für Flüssiggasgeräte - Terrassen-Schirmheizgeräte - Abzugslose Terrassenheizstrahler zur Verwendung im Freien oder in gut belüfteten Räumen
Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an die Konstruktion, die Sicherheit, die Prüfverfahren und die Kennzeichnung für abzuglose Terrassen-Schirmheizgeräte zur Verwendung nur im Freien oder in gut belüfteten Räumen fest.
Obwohl nicht von dieser Norm erfasst, sind die in dieser Norm formulierten Anforderungen auch für gleiche Geräte bis zu einer Nennwärmebelastung von = 4,2 kW anwendbar, wenn sie innerhalb von Gebäuden verwendet werden und der EN 449 entsprechen.
Diese Geräte werden ausschließlich mit Gasen der dritten Gasfamilie, wie in Abschnitt 4 definiert, betrieben.
Diese Norm gilt für Geräte mit einer Nennwärmebelastung von nicht mehr als 17 kW (bezogen auf den Brennwert):
- fest angeschlossen oder,
- ortsveränderlich, einschließlich derjenigen Geräte, die ein Flaschenfach für eine transportable und wiederauffüllbare Flüssiggasflasche haben.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Geräte, die mit einem Gebläse für die Verbrennung oder für die Umwälzung von Konvektionsluft ausgerüstet sind.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt weder für Flüssiggasbehälter noch für die dazu gehörigen Druckregelgeräte oder Rohrleitungen und Schlauchleitungen, die den gültigen nationalen Bestimmungen entsprechen müssen.
Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine spezifischen Anforderungen an den thermischen Wirkungsgrad für diesen Gerätetyp, es enthält aber die Anforderungen an die Verbrennung, die ein Sicherheitselement darstellen und sicherstellen, dass das Gas wirksam verbrennt. Trotzdem wird im informativen Anhang C eine Methode zur Messung des Wirkungsgrades beschrieben.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Geräte nach EN 461, EN 416-1, EN 419-1, EN 449 und EN 521.
Diese Europäische Norm umfasst nur die Anforderungen an die Baumusterprüfung.
Dinge, die sich auf Qualitätssicherungssysteme, Produktionsprüfung und insbesondere auf Konformitätsbescheinigungen von Hilfseinrichtungen beziehen, werden durch diese Europäische Norm nicht berücksichtigt.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les exigences de construction, de sécurité et de marquage et les méthodes d'essais des appareils non raccordés, pour chauffage de terrasse, utilisables uniquement en plein air ou dans un espace largement ventilé.
Bien qu'ils ne soient pas couverts par cette norme, les exigences de cette norme sont applicables aux appareils qui peuvent être utilisés à l'intérieur des locaux d'habitations qui de plus doivent avoir un débit calorifique n'excédant pas 4,2 kW et être conformes à l'EN 449.
Ces appareils sont destinés à être utilisés exclusivement avec les gaz de la troisième famille définis en 4.
Cette norme européenne s'applique aux appareils de débit calorifique nominal inférieur ou égal à 17 kW (déterminé sur le pouvoir calorifique supérieur) ;
¾ fixes ou ;
¾ mobiles, y compris ceux qui incorporent un logement pour une bouteille de gaz de pétrole liquéfiés transportable et rechargeable.
Cette norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux appareils équipés d'un ventilateur servant soit à la combustion, soit à la circulation de l'air de convection.
Cette norme européenne ne couvre pas les bouteilles de gaz de pétrole liquéfié, ni leurs détendeurs associés, ni les tubes et tuyaux flexibles, qui doivent être conformes aux réglementations nationales en vigueur.
Cette norme européenne ne fixe pas de prescription particulière pour le rendement thermique de ce type d'appareils, mais les exigences concernant la combustion, qui relève de la sécurité, garantissent au combustible gazeux de brûler efficacement. Cependant une méthode de mesure des performances est décrite dans l'Annexe informative C.
Cette norme ne s'applique pas aux appareils couverts par l'EN 416-1, l'EN 419-1, l'EN 449, l'EN 461 et l'EN 521.
