Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies - Guidelines for selection, storage, use and maintenance (ISO 8331:2007)

ISO 8331:2007 sets out recommendations designed to maintain rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies, prior to use, in a condition as close as possible to the condition they were in when they were received and to obtain the expected service life.

Diese Internationale Norm gibt Empfehlungen, die dazu ausgelegt sind, um Gummi- und Kunststoffschläuche sowie Schlauchleitungen vor der Verwendung unter Bedingungen instand zu halten, die soweit möglich den Bedingungen bei Lieferung entsprechen sollen, und um die erwartete Betriebsdauer zu erreichen. ANMERKUNG Es ist vorgesehen, dass diese Internationale Norm gemeinsam mit geltenden nationalen gesetzlichen Vorschriften angewendet wird.

L'ISO 8331:2007 établit des recommandations pour conserver les tuyaux et flexibles en caoutchouc et en plastique, avant leur utilisation, dans un état aussi proche que possible de leur état lors de la réception et pour obtenir la durée de vie prévue.

The text of ISO 8331:2007 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 “Rubber and rubber
products” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
EN ISO 8331:2011 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 “Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies”
the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by November 2011.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following
