ISO 11431:2002 specifies a method for the determination of the adhesion/cohesion properties of sealants after cyclic exposure to heat and artificial light followed by a period of exposure to water at a defined temperature.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Haft- und Dehnverhaltens von Dichtstoffen nach zyklischer Einwirkung von Wärme und künstlichem Licht gefolgt von einer Periode des Einwirkens von Wasser bei festgelegten Temperaturen fest.
ANMERKUNG   Die zyklische Einwirkung von Wasser, Strahlung und Wärme auf die Probekörper soll die Einwirkung der Bedingungen simulieren, denen Dichtstoffe beim Einsatz unter natürlicher Bewitterung ausgesetzt sind. Der im Vergleich mit den realen Bedingungen gegebene Beschleunigungsfaktor ist unbekannt. Es ist nicht beabsichtigt, Daten für die Dauerhaftigkeit der zu beurteilenden Dichtstoffe zu geben, sondern vielmehr eine Mindestleistungsfähigkeit für die Anwendung beim Verglasen sicherzustellen.

L'ISO 11431:2002 prescrit une méthode de détermination des propriétés d'adhésivité/cohésion des mastics soumis à un certain nombre de cycles d'exposition à la chaleur et à la lumière artificielle, suivis d'une exposition à l'eau à une température élevée.

This document (EN ISO 11431:2002) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO /TC 59
"Building construction" in collaboration with CMC.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication
of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2003, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2003.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
