This European Standard describes basic types and constructions of cartons in carton board. Styles of corrugated and solid board packaging are not covered by this EN standard.
NOTE Cartons are usually delivered by the carton manufacturer, to the user, in flat folded form (preglued) or as a flat blank.

EN 14054:2003 (E)3ForewordThis document (EN 14054:2003) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN /TC 261"Packaging", the secretariat or which is held by AFNOR.This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of anidentical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2003, and conflicting national standardsshall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2003.This document is derived from work carried out by the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA)which is the federation for the national carton makers associations of Europe.
