Portable equipment for projecting extinguishing agents supplied by fire fighting pumps - Portable monitors - Part 1: General requirements for portable monitor assemblies

1.1   This European Standard specifies safety requirements, performance requirements, test methods, instructions for use and maintenance, and marking requirements for portable monitor assemblies.
NOTE 1   Additional requirements for water nozzles and foam devices can be found in EN 15767-2 and prEN 15767-3 respectively.
NOTE 2   Fitting systems are dealt with in national standards or requirements, respectively.
This European Standard is applicable to portable monitor assemblies that can be both permanently installed (e.g. on a flange, a vehicle, a fire boat, etc.) and can also be used as portable monitor assemblies.
This standard should be read in conjunction with either part 2 or 3.
1.2   This European Standard is not applicable to monitors permanently installed on firefighting and rescue service vehicles, for which requirements are given in EN 1846-3 [2].
1.3   This European Standard is not applicable to portable monitor assemblies which are manufactured before its date of publication.

1.1   Diese Europäische Norm legt Sicherheitsanforderungen, Anforderungen an die Leistungsfähigkeit, Prüf-verfahren, Anleitungen für Gebrauch und Instandhaltung und Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung von tragbaren Werfern fest.
ANMERKUNG 1   Zusätzliche Anforderungen an Wasserdüsen und Schaumdüsen sind EN 15767 2 bzw. prEN 15767 3 zu entnehmen.
ANMERKUNG 2   Kupplungen werden in nationalen Normen bzw. Anforderungen behandelt.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für tragbare Werfer, die sowohl fest installiert sein (z. B. an einem Flansch, einem Fahrzeug, einem Feuerlöschboot usw.) und auch als tragbare Werfer verwendet werden können.
Die vorliegende Norm sollte zusammen mit Teil 2 oder Teil 3 gelesen werden.
1.2   Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Werfer, die an Feuerwehrfahrzeugen fest angebaut sind. Deren Anforderungen sind in EN 1846-3 [2] enthalten.
1.3   Die vorliegende Europäische Norm gilt nicht für tragbare Werfer, die vor dem Datum der Veröffent-lichung hergestellt wurden.

1.1   La présente Norme européenne spécifie les prescriptions de sécurité, les prescriptions de performance, les méthodes d’essais, les instructions d'utilisation et de maintenance, et les prescriptions relatives au marquage des ensembles lance-canon portables.
NOTE 1   Les prescriptions complémentaires relatives aux diffuseurs à eau et aux dispositifs pour la mousse font l'objet, respectivement, des EN 15767-2 et EN 15767-3.
NOTE 2   Les systèmes de raccordement sont traités respectivement dans les normes ou les prescriptions nationales.
La présent Norme européenne s’applique aux ensembles lance-canon portables qui peuvent à la fois être installés à demeure (par exemple sur un plateau, un véhicule, un bateau-pompe, etc.) et qui peuvent également être utilisés comme un ensemble lance-canon portable.
Il convient de lire la présente norme conjointement avec la Partie 2 ou la Partie 3.
1.2   La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux lances-canon installées à demeure sur les véhicules de secours et de lutte contre l’incendie dont les prescriptions sont données dans l’EN 1846-3 [2].
1.3   La présente Norme européenne n'est pas applicable aux ensembles lances-canon portables fabriqués avant sa date de publication.
