Respiratory equipment - Open-circuit self-contained compressed air diving apparatus - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard applies to self-contained, open-circuit compressed air underwater breathing apparatus.   The object of the requirements and tests set out in this European Standard is to ensure a minimum level of safe operation for underwater breathing apparatus to a maximum depth of 50 m.   Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Diese europäische Norm gilt für autonome Leichttauchgeräte mit Druckluft und mit offenem Kreislauf. Der Zweck der in dieser Norm festgelegten Anforderungen und Prüfungen ist, die Mindestanforderungen in Bezug auf die Sicherheit von Leichttauchgeräten zu garantieren. Labortests und praktische Tests sind eingeschlossen, um die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen zu beurteilen.

La présente norme européenne s'applique aux scaphandres autonomes à air comprimé et à circuit ouvert. Les exigences et essais décrits dans la présente norme européenne visent à garantir un niveau minimal de sécurité dans le fonctionnement des appareils respiratoires de plongée. Les essais réels et en laboratoire décrits ci-après, permettent de vérifier la conformité des appareils avec les exigences.
