Clamp type coupling assemblies for use with steam hoses rated for pressures up to 18 bar

This document specifies the design, materials and dimensions of fittings for clamp type coupling assemblies for use with nominal sizes DN 15 to DN 50 steam and hot water hoses. It covers assemblies up to a maximum working pressure of 18 bar (corresponding to a saturated steam temperature of 210 °C).

Diese Norm legt die Ausführung, Werkstoffe und Maße für Schlaucharmaturen mit Klemmfassung für
Schläuche für Dampf und Heißwasser DN 15 bis DN 50 fest, die für Drücke bis 18 bar (entsprechend einer
Sattdampftemperatur von 210 °C) ausgelegt sind.

La présente norme européenne prescrit les exigences applicables à la conception, aux matériaux et aux dimensions des raccords pour des accouplements de type à demi-coquille destinés à être utilisés avec des flexibles pour vapeur et eau chaude de diamètres nominaux DN 15 à DN 50. Elle couvre les raccordements utilisés à des pressions de service maximales allant jusqu'à 18 bar (correspondant à une température de vapeur saturée de 210 °C).

A distinction is made between the connector end and the tail end of coupling assemblies. The former is the part by which the coupling is connected to an appliance or pipe (for various types of connectors, see Table 2), while the latter (including the tail end fitting and clamp) is fastened to a hose (see 7.2 and 7.4).
