Geometrical product specifications (GPS) - Matrix model (ISO 14638:2015)

ISO 14638:2014 is a fundamental ISO GPS standard. It explains the concept of Geometrical Product Specification (ISO GPS), and provides a framework to illustrate how current and future ISO GPS standards address the requirements of the ISO GPS system.
The framework is intended to be of use to users of ISO GPS standards, by illustrating the extent of the scope of the different standards, and showing how they relate to each other.
The framework is also used for structuring the development of standards for GPS by technical committee ISO/TC 213.

Diese Norm ist eine fundamentale ISO-GPS-Norm. Das vorliegende Dokument (ISO 14638) erläutert das Konzept der geometrischen Produktspezifikation (ISO GPS) und gibt eine Übersicht darüber, wie gegenwärtige und künftige ISO-Normen die Anforderungen an das ISO-GPS-System behandeln.
Die Übersicht soll für die Anwender von ISO-GPS-Normen von Nutzen sein, indem sie den Umfang des Anwendungsbereiches der verschiedenen Normen darstellt und zeigt, wie die einzelnen Normen gegenseitig in Beziehung zueinander stehen.
Die Übersicht dient auch der Strukturierung der Entwicklung von Normen für GPS durch das Technische Komitee ISO/TC 213.

L'ISO 14638:2014 est une norme ISO GPS de base. Elle explique le concept de spécification géométrique des produits (ISO GPS) et fournit un schéma directeur qui montre comment les normes ISO actuelles et futures répondent aux exigences du système ISO GPS.
Le schéma directeur est destiné à être utile aux utilisateurs des normes ISO GPS du fait qu'il présente l'étendue du domaine d'application des différentes normes et montre leurs relations les unes avec les autres.
Le schéma directeur sert également à structurer le développement de normes GPS par le comité technique ISO/TC 213.

Specifikacija geometrijskih veličin izdelka (GPS) - Glavni načrt (ISO 14638:2015)

Ta mednarodni standard je temeljni standard za glavni načrt specifikacije geometrijskih veličin izdelka (ISO GPS). Pojasnjuje koncept specifikacije geometrijskih veličin izdelka (ISO GPS) in podaja okvir za prikaz, kako trenutni in prihodnji standardi ISO GPS obravnavajo zahteve za sistem ISO GPS. Okvir naj bi pomagal uporabnikom standardov ISO GPS, in sicer s prikazom obsega različnih standardov in povezav med njimi. Okvir se uporablja tudi za strukturiranje razvoja standardov za GPS s strani tehničnega odbora ISO/TC 213.

This document (EN ISO 14638:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 213 "Dimensional
and geometrical product specifications and verification" in collaboration with Technical Committee
CEN/TC 290 “Dimensional and geometrical product specification and verification” the secretariat of which is
held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2015, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by July 2015.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes CR ISO 14638:1996.
