Earth-moving machinery - Access systems (ISO 2867:2006)

This International Standard specifies criteria for access systems (steps, ladders, walkways, platforms, grab rails/handrails, grab handles, guardrails and enclosure entrance and exit openings) as they relate to aiding the operator, maintenance personnel and service personnel in performing their functions on earth-moving machinery. It is applicable to systems giving access to the operator platform and to routine maintenance points on earth-moving machinery, as defined in ISO 6165, parked in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Erdbaumaschinen - Zugänge (ISO 2867:2006)

Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt die Kriterien für Zugangssysteme (Stufen, Aufstiege, Laufstege, Standflä¬chen, Haltestangen/Handläufe, Haltegriffe, Geländer und Ein- und Ausstiegsöffnungen von geschlossenen Räu¬men), wenn diese Einfluss auf die Sicherheit von Maschinenführern, Instandhaltungs- und Wartungspersonal bei der Ausübung ihrer Tätigkeit auf der Maschine haben. Sie gilt für Zugangssysteme zu Fahrerplätzen und Wartungsstellen von Erdbaumaschinen, wie sie in ISO 6165 definiert sind, bei Stillstand der Maschine, wie vom Hersteller festgelegt.
ANMERKUNG   Dieses Dokument basiert auf dem 5. bis 95. Perzentil der Maschinenführermaße, wie in ISO 3411 definiert.

This document (EN ISO 2867:2006) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 127
"Earth-moving machinery" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 151 "Construction
equipment and building material machines - Safety", the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2007, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2007.

This document supersedes EN ISO 2867:1998.

This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission
and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s).

For relationship with EU Directive(s), see informative Annex ZA, which is an integral part of this
document.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the

Relationship between this European Standard and the Essential
Requirements of EU Directive 98/37/EC, amended by Directive
98/79/EC


This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European
Commission and the European Free Trade Association to provide a means of conforming to
Essential Requirements of the New Approach Directive 98/37/EC, amended by Directive 98/79/EC.

Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Communities under that Directive
and has been implemented as a national standard in at least one Member State, compliance with
the normative clauses of this standard confers, within the limits of the scope of this standard, a
presumption of conformity with Essential Requirements 1.6.2, 3.2.1 and 3.4.5 of that Directive and
associated EFTA regulations.

WARNING: Other requirements and other EU Directives may be applicable to the products falling
within the scope of this Europeanl standard.
