This Technical Specification specifies a test method for assessing film extensibility by indentation of a coating on a defined and carefully selected wooden extensibility substrate for coatings on stable wood components in exterior use. The method is preferably be used on coatings that have not been exposed to weathering.

Diese Technische Spezifikation legt ein Prüfverfahren zum Beurteilen der Verformbarkeit durch Eindrücken einer Beschichtung auf einem definierten und sorgfältig ausgewählten Holzsubstrat für Beschichtungen auf maßhaltigen Holzbauteilen im Außenbereich fest. Das Verfahren ist vorzugsweise für Beschichtungen zu verwenden, die nicht bewittert wurden.

La présente Spécification technique spécifie une méthode d’essai pour évaluer l’extensibilité du feuil par poinçonnement d’un revêtement sur un support en bois défini et choisi avec soin, pour des revêtements sur des éléments de bois stable en utilisation en extérieur. La méthode est utilisée, de préférence, sur des revêtements n’ayant pas été exposés aux intempéries.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 9 April 2012 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their
comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS available
promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS)
until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
