EN 14145:2003 - "Holders for lifebuoys" (CEN) specifies the types, basic dimensions and material requirements for lifebuoy holders used as supports for lifebuoys in accordance with EN 14144. Published by CEN in 2003, this European standard defines two principal forms of lifebuoy holders (form A - welded securing plates; form B - bolted-on holder) and sets rules for tolerances, edge rounding and surface protection to ensure safe, snag-free mounting and reliable performance in marine and inland navigation environments.
