Petroleum and related products - Determination of the corrosion resistance of fire-resistant hydraulic fluids - Part 1: Water-containing fluids (ISO 4404-1:2012)

ISO 4404-1:2012 specifies a test method to determine the influence on metals of fire-resistant fluids in categories HFA, HFB and HFC, as classified in ISO 6743-4. ISO 4404-1:2012 evaluates the corrosion protection provided by these fluids towards metal components used in hydraulic systems and installations.

Dieser Teil der ISO 4404 legt ein Verfahren fest zur Bestimmung der korrosionshemmenden Eigenschaften von wasserhaltigen Druckflüssigkeiten der Klassen HFA, HFB und HFC, die in ISO 6743-4 klassifiziert sind. Das Prüfverfahren ermöglicht die qualitative Beurteilung der korrosionsverhindernden Eigenschaften dieser Flüssigkeiten gegenüber in der Konstruktion von Hydraulikanlagen und Anlagenkonstruktionen eingesetzten Metalle.
Ein ähnliches Prüfverfahren für Flüssigkeiten der Klasse HFD ist in ISO 4404-2 beschrieben.

L'ISO 4404-1:2012 spécifie une méthode d'essai qui a pour but de déterminer les effets produits sur les métaux par les fluides des catégories HFA, HFB et HFC, selon la classification de l'ISO 6743‑4. L'ISO 4404-1:2012 permet d'évaluer le pouvoir anti-corrosif de ces fluides envers les éléments métalliques utilisés dans les systèmes et les installations hydrauliques.

Ta del standarda ISO 4404 določa preskusno metodo za ugotavljanje vpliva negorljivih tekočin iz skupin HFA, HFB in HFC, kot so razvrščene v standardu ISO 6743-4, na kovine. V njem je ocenjena protikorozijska zaščita, ki jo takšne tekočine zagotavljajo za kovinske sestavne dele v hidravličnih sistemih in napravah. Podobna tehnika za tekočine iz skupine HFD je opisana v standardu ISO 4404-2.

This document (EN ISO 4404-1:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 28 "Petroleum
products and lubricants" in collaboration Technical Committee CEN/TC 19 “Gaseous and liquid fuels,
lubricants and related products of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin” the secretariat of which is held by
NEN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2013, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by January 2013.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
