Dentistry - Nomenclature of oral anomalies - Part 1: Code for the representation of oral anomalies (ISO 16202-1:2019)

This document provides a nomenclature of oral anomalies and a code for their representation to facilitate data entry and support interoperability at the semantic level.
This nomenclature covers the various anomalies that can be found in the oral cavity. When needed, information on the localization of the anomaly can be added through the use of other codes such as ISO 3950.

Dieses Dokument beschreibt eine Nomenklatur für orale Anomalien von Zähnen und einen Code für ihre
Darstellung, um die Dateneingabe zu vereinfachen und die Interoperabilität auf semantischer Ebene zu
unterstützen.
Diese Nomenklatur umfasst die verschiedenen in der Mundhöhle vorhandenen Anomalien. Falls erforderlich,
können Angaben zur Lokalisierung der Anomalie durch die Anwendung weiterer Codes, wie etwa ISO 3950,
hinzugefügt werden.

Le présent document fournit une nomenclature des anomalies bucco-dentaires et un code pour leur représentation destinés à faciliter la saisie de données et à soutenir l'interopérabilité au niveau sémantique.
Cette nomenclature couvre les diverses anomalies qui peuvent être rencontrées dans la cavité buccale. Lorsque cela est nécessaire, il est possible d'ajouter des informations sur la localisation de l'anomalie en utilisant d'autres codes, tels que celui décrit dans l'ISO 3950.

The text of ISO 16202-1:2019 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 106 "Dentistry” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 16202-1:2020
by Technical Committee CEN/TC 55 “Dentistry” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2021, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by March 2021.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria,
