This document gives guidance for the assessment of conformity of materials, products, joints and assemblies in accordance with the applicable part(s) of EN 1852 intended to be included in the manufacturer’s quality plan as part of the quality management system and for the establishment of certification procedures.
NOTE 1 The quality management system is expected to conform to or be no less stringent than the relevant requirements in EN ISO 9001 [1].
NOTE 2 If third-party certification is involved, the certification body is expected be accredited to EN ISO/IEC 17065 [2] or EN ISO/IEC 17021 [3], as applicable.
NOTE 3 In order to help the reader, a basic test matrix is given in Annex A.
In conjunction with EN 1852-1 this document is applicable to solid wall piping systems made of polypropylene (PP) intended to be used for:
- non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage outside the building structure (application area code “U”), and
- non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage for both buried in ground within the building structure (application area code “D”) and outside the building structure.
This is reflected in the marking of products by “U” and “UD”.

Dieses Dokument enthält Empfehlungen für die Beurteilung der Konformität von Werkstoffen, Erzeugnissen, Verbindungen und Bauteilkombinationen entsprechend des/der zutreffenden Teile(s) von EN 1852, die als Teil des Qualitätsmanagementsystems im Qualitätssicherungsplan des Herstellers und für die Einführung von Zertifizierungsverfahren vorgesehen sind.
ANMERKUNG 1 Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass das Qualitätsmanagementsystem EN ISO 9001 [1] oder mindestens ebenso strengen Anforderungen entspricht.
ANMERKUNG 2 Bei Drittstellenzertifizierung wird davon ausgegangen, dass die Zertifizierungsstelle in Abhängigkeit von der Anwendung nach EN ISO/IEC 17065 [2] oder EN ISO/IEC 17021 [3] zugelassen ist.
ANMERKUNG 3 Zur Unterstützung des Lesers enthält Anhang A einen Überblick über das Prüfsystem.
Dieses Dokument gilt in Verbindung mit EN 1852 1 für Vollwand Rohrleitungssysteme aus Polypropylen (PP), die für folgende Verwendungszwecke vorgesehen sind:
für erdverlegte drucklose Abwasserkanäle und leitungen für Anwendungen außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen „U“); und
für erdverlegte drucklose Abwasserkanäle und leitungen für Anwendungen sowohl erdverlegt innerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungs¬kennzeichen „D“) als auch außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur.
Dies wird durch die Kennzeichnung auf dem Erzeugnis durch „U“ bzw. „UD“ angezeigt.

Ta dokument vsebuje navodila za ugotavljanje skladnosti materialov, izdelkov, spojev in sestavov z ustreznimi deli standarda EN 1852, ki naj bi se vključila v poslovnik kakovosti proizvajalca kot del sistema vodenja kakovosti, vsebuje pa tudi navodila za vzpostavitev postopka certificiranja.
OPOMBA 1: Pričakuje se, da je sistem vodenja kakovosti skladen s standardom EN ISO 9001 [1] oziroma da ni manj strog od ustreznih zahtev iz tega standarda.
OPOMBA 2: Če certificiranje izvaja zunanji ponudnik, je pričakovano, da je certifikacijski organ akreditiran v skladu s standardom EN ISO/IEC 17065 [2] oziroma EN ISO/IEC 17021 [3].
OPOMBA 3: V pomoč bralcem dodatek A vsebuje osnovno preskusno matriko.
Ta dokument se v povezavi s standardom EN 1852-1 uporablja za cevne sisteme v trdnih stenah iz polipropilena (PP), namenjene za:
– odvodnjavanje in kanalizacijo zunaj stavbne konstrukcije, ki delujeta po težnostnem principu in sta vkopana v zemljo (koda območja uporabe »U«), in
– odvodnjavanje in kanalizacijo, ki delujeta po težnostnem principu in sta vkopana v zemljo znotraj stavbne konstrukcije (koda območja uporabe »D«) ali zunaj nje (koda območja uporabe »U«).
To je razvidno iz oznak »U« in »UD« na izdelkih.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 7 October 2019 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to
submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS
available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in
parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.

This document (CEN/TS 1852-2:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 155
“Plastics piping systems and ducting systems”, the secretariat of which is held by NEN.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of

This document supersedes CEN/TS 1852-2:2015.
The main change compared to the previous edition concerns the compliance with the latest version of
the template for assessment of conformity.
EN 1852 consists of the following parts, under the general title Plastics piping systems for non-pressure
underground drainage and sewerage — Polypropylene (PP)
— Part 1: Specifications for pipes, fittings and the system
— Part 2: Guidance for the assessment of conformity (the present TS)
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organisations of the

Introduction
Figures 1 and 2 are intended to provide general information on the concept of testing and organization
of those tests used for the purpose of the assessment of conformity. For each type of test, i.e. type
testing (TT), batch release test (BRT), process verification test (PVT), and audit test (AT), this document
details the applicable characteristics to be assessed as well as the frequency and sampling of testing.
A typical scheme for the assessment of conformity of materials, pipes, fittings, joints or assemblies by
manufacturers is given in Figure 1.

1 Scope
This document gives guidance for the assessment of conformity of materials, products, joints and
assemblies in accordance with the applicable part(s) of EN 1852 intended to be included in the
manufacturer’s quality plan as part of the quality management system and for the establishment of
certification procedures.

satisfactorily completed before the batch can be released

to confirm that the process continues to be capable of producing products which conform to the
requirements given in the relevant standard

measure of process control.
