Water quality - Guidance for the identification and enumeration of benthic diatom samples from rivers and lakes

This European Standard specifies methods for the identification and enumeration of relative proportions of diatom taxa on prepared slides and of data interpretation relevant to assessments of water quality in rivers and lakes. It is suitable for use with indices and assessment methods based on the relative abundance of taxa. The methods for identification and enumeration may also be applied to the study of benthic diatoms in other habitats provided that data interpretation methods appropriate to these habitats are used.

Wasserbeschaffenheit - Anleitung zur Bestimmung und Zählung von benthischen Kieselalgen in Fließgewässern und Seen

Dieses Dokument legt Verfahren zur Identifizierung und Auszählung von relativen Anteilen der Diatomeentaxa auf vorbereiteten Objektträgern und die für die Beurteilung der Wasserbeschaffenheit von Fließgewässern und Seen maßgebliche Datenauswertung fest. Es ist geeignet für die Arbeit mit Indizes und Schätzverfahren, die auf der relativen Häufigkeitsverteilung taxonomischer Einheiten beruhen. Die Verfahren zur Identifizierung und Quantifizierung dürfen auch für Untersuchungen von benthischen Diatomeen in anderen Lebensräumen verwendet werden, vorausgesetzt, dass dafür geeignete Datenauswertungsverfahren verwendet werden.

Qualité de l'eau - Guide pour l'identification et le dénombrement des échantillons de diatomées benthiques de rivières et de lacs

La présente Norme européenne spécifie des méthodes permettant d’identifier et de calculer les proportions relatives des taxons de diatomées sur des lames d’observation et d’interpréter les résultats dans le cadre d’évaluations de la qualité de l’eau des rivières et des lacs. Elle peut être utilisée avec des indices et des méthodes d’évaluation fondés sur l’abondance relative des taxons. Ces méthodes d’identification et de dénombrement peuvent aussi être appliquées à l’étude des diatomées benthiques dans d’autres habitats sous réserve d’utiliser des méthodes d’interprétation des résultats appropriées aux habitats considérés.

Kakovost vode - Navodilo za identifikacijo in štetje vzorcev bentoških kremenastih alg rek in jezer

Standard EN 14407 določa metode za identifikacijo in štetje relativnih deležev kremenastih alg na pripravljenih objektnih steklih ter metode za interpretacijo, povezano z oceno kakovosti vode v rekah in jezerih. Primeren je za uporabo z indeksi in metodami ocenjevanja, ki temeljijo na relativni številčnosti taksonov. Metode za identifikacijo in štetje se lahko uporabijo tudi za študijo bentoških kremenastih alg v drugih habitatih, če so za interpretacijo podatkov uporabljene metode, primerne za te habitate.
