Structural timber - Sizes, permitted deviations

This standard specifies for structural timber and glued laminated timber test methods for the determination of dimensions, moisture content, density and conditioning of test pieces.

La présente norme définit deux classes d'écarts admissibles par rapport à des dimensions cibles de bois de structure pour les essences résineuses et feuillues
Elle définit également la teneur en humidité à utiliser comme référence pour la mesure des dimensions et donne les valeurs moyennes de variations dimensionnelles dues aux variations de teneurs en humidité.
Elle s'applique aux bois avivés sciés et ébauchés ayant des rives parallèles et des épaisseurs ou largeurs comprises entre 22 mm et 300 mm.

This document EN 336:2003 has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 124 "Timber structures", the
secretariat of which is held by DS.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or
by endorsement, at the latest by October 2003, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest
by October 2003
This document supersedes EN 336:1995.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following
