ISO 8331:2014 sets out recommendations designed to maintain rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies, prior to use, in a condition as close as possible to the condition they were in when they were received and to obtain the expected service life.

Dieses Dokument gilt für die folgenden Maschinengruppen:
- Verpackungsmaschinen für die Verwendung durch Bedienpersonen an Arbeitsplätzen nach EN 415-1.
Dieses Dokument gilt, wenn Maschinen oder Gefährdungen in den spezifischeren Normen der EN 415 nicht behandelt sind oder diese Normen auf dieses Dokument verweisen.
ANMERKUNG 1 Für Maschinen, die in öffentlich zugänglichen Bereichen verwendet werden, können andere oder zusätz¬liche Anforderungen gelten. Der Hersteller sollte eine zusätzliche Risikobewertung durchführen.
Dieses Dokument behandelt die Sicherheitsanforderungen für Gestaltung, Konstruktion, Aufstellung, Inbetrieb¬nahme, Betrieb, Einstellung, Instandhaltung und Reinigung von Verpackungsmaschinen.
Der Umfang der behandelten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse ist in Abschnitt 4 dargelegt.
ANMERKUNG 2 Die Gefährdungen an einer spezifischen Maschine können variieren in Abhängigkeit von ihrer Funktions¬weise, von Typ, Größe und Masse des Produktes, vom Packstoff, von an der Maschine angebrachtem Zubehör sowie von der Umgebung, in der die Maschine verwendet wird. Weist die Maschine Gefährdungen auf, die in der vorlie¬genden Norm nicht behandelt sind, sollte der Hersteller diese Gefährdungen anhand der in EN ISO 14121 1 beschrie¬benen Grundsätze bewerten.
Ausnahmen
Diese Norm gilt nicht für die folgenden Maschinen:
- Maschinen, die vor dem Datum der Veröffentlichung dieses Dokuments durch den CEN hergestellt wurden.
Diese Norm behandelt nicht die folgenden Gefährdungen:
- die Verwendung von Verpackungsmaschinen in explosionsfähigen Atmosphären;
- die Gefährdungen für Gesundheit, Sicherheit oder Hygiene in Zusammenhang mit den Produkten, die mög¬licher¬weise auf den Maschinen verarbeitet werden, allerdings sind allgemeine Hinweise dazu ange-geben;
- Gefährdungen, die mit elektromagnetischen Störaussendungen von Verpackungsmaschinen zusammen-hängen können;
- Gefährdungen, die mit der Außerbetriebnahme von Verpackungsmaschinen zusammenhängen können.

L'ISO 8331:2014 établit des recommandations prévues pour conserver les tuyaux et assemblages flexibles en caoutchouc et en plastique, avant leur utilisation, dans un état aussi proche que possible de leur état lors de la réception et pour obtenir la durée de vie prévue.

This document (EN ISO 8331:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 “Rubber and
rubber products” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 “Rubber and plastics hoses and
hose assemblies” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by October 2014.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 8331:2011.
