Child care articles - Reclined cradles and infant swings

This document specifies safety requirements and the corresponding test methods for reclined cradles intended for children from birth up to when they start to stand up and infant swings intended for children from birth up to when they start to try to sit up.This document is also applicable to car seats complying with UN R44 or UN R129 that can be used as reclined cradles according to manufacturer’s instructions. If usage as reclined cradle is not included in the product information or marketing material, car seats are excluded from the scope of this document. This document does not cover reclined cradles or infant swings designed for children with special needs and/or falling under the scope of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (medical devices). If a reclined cradle or infant swing has several functions or can be converted into another function the relevant European standards apply to it. Swings falling under the scope of EN 71-8 are excluded from the scope of this European Standard.
NOTE For the rest of the document, the word “product” will be used when referring at the same time
to reclined cradles and infant swings.

Dieses Dokument ist auch anwendbar auf Autokindersitze nach UNR44 oder UNR129, die nach Herstelleran
gaben als Kinderliegesitze verwendet werden können. Wenn die Verwendung als Kinderliegesitz nicht in den Produktinformationen oder im Werbematerial angegeben ist, sind Autokindersitze nicht im
reich dieses Dokumentes enthalten.
Dieses Dokument erfasst keine Kinderliegesitze oder Babyschaukeln, die für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder mit besonderen Bedürfnissen bestimmt sind, und/oder die in den Anwendungsbereich der Verord
nung(EU)2017/745 (Medizinprodukte) fallen.
Wenn ein Kinderliegesitz oder eine Babyschaukel über mehrere Funktionen verfügt oder in eine andere Funk
tion umgebaut werden kann, muss dieser den zutreffenden Europäischen Normen entsprechen.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les méthodes d’essai correspondantes pour les transats destinés aux enfants de la naissance jusqu’à ce qu’ils commencent à se tenir debout et les balancelles suspendues pour enfant destinées aux enfants de la naissance jusqu’à ce qu’ils commencent à essayer de s’asseoir.
Le présent document est également applicable aux sièges-auto conformes au Règlement UN R44 ou UN R129 pouvant être utilisés comme transats conformément aux instructions du fabricant.
Si l’utilisation comme transat n’est pas incluse dans les informations relatives au produit ou les documents de commercialisation, les sièges-auto n’entrent pas dans le domaine d’application du présent document.
Le présent document ne couvre pas les transats ou les balancelles suspendues pour enfant ayant des besoins particuliers et/ou qui relèvent du domaine d’application du règlement (UE) 2017/745 (relatif aux dispositifs médicaux).

1 Scope
