Anodizing of aluminium and its alloys - Rating system for the evaluation of pitting corrosion - Chart method (ISO 8993:2010)
ISO 8993:2010 specifies a chart rating system based on standard charts that provides a means of defining levels of performance of anodic oxidation coatings on aluminium and its alloys that have been subjected to corrosion tests.
This rating system is applicable to pitting corrosion resulting from
accelerated tests,
exposure to corrosive environments, and
practical service tests.
ISO 8993:2010 takes into account only pitting corrosion resulting from penetration of the protective anodic oxidation coating.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Bewertungssystem unter Anwendung von Standardrichtreihen fest, das es
ermöglicht, die Gebrauchstauglichkeit von anodisch erzeugten Oxidschichten auf Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen
zu bestimmen, die Korrosionsprüfungen unterworfen wurden.
Das Bewertungssystem ist auf Lochkorrosion anwendbar, die auftritt nach
⎯ Schnellkorrosionsversuchen,
⎯ Bewitterung durch korrosive Umgebungen, und
⎯ praktischen Gebrauchsprüfungen.
Diese Internationale Norm berücksichtigt nur die Lochkorrosion des Grundmetalls, die aus der Durchdringung
der anodisch erzeugten Oxidschicht resultiert.
ANMERKUNG ISO 8994[3], beschreibt ein ähnliches Bewertungssystem auf Basis der Rasterzählmethode.

L'ISO 8993:2010 spécifie un système de cotation basé sur des images-types qui permet de définir des niveaux de performance de couches anodiques déposées sur l'aluminium et ses alliages, soumises à des essais de corrosion.
Ce système de cotation s'applique à la corrosion par piqûres résultant:
d'essais accélérés;
de l'exposition à des milieux corrosifs;
d'essais pratiques en service.
L'ISO 8993:2010 ne tient compte que de la corrosion par piqûres résultant de la pénétration de la couche anodique de protection.
Anodizacija aluminija in aluminijevih zlitin - Ocenjevalni sistem za vrednotenje jamičaste korozije - Tabelarična metoda (ISO 8993:2010)
Ta mednarodni standard določa tabelarični ocenjevalni sistem, osnovan na standardnih tabelah, ki zagotavlja sredstvo določevanja ravni učinkovitosti anodno oksidiranih prevlek na aluminiju in njegovih zlitinah, ki so bile predmet korozijskih preskusov. Ta ocenjevalni sistem se uporablja za jamičasto korozijo, ki izhaja iz – pospešenih preskusov, - izpostavljenosti korozivnim okoljem in – praktičnih preskusov med delovanjem. Ta mednarodni standard upošteva zgolj jamičasto korozijo, ki izhaja iz penetracije zaščitne anodno oksidiranih plasti.

This document (EN ISO 8993:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 79 “Light metals and
their alloys” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 “Aluminium and aluminium alloys” the
secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by February 2011.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
