Protective clothing - Protection against liquid chemicals - Performance requirements for chemical protective clothing with spray-tight connections between different parts of the clothing (Type 4 Equipment)

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for spray-tight chemical protective clothing with spray-tight connections between different parts of the clothing, and to gloves and boots to protect the wearer against liquid chemicals.   It specifies the performance requirements both for the materials of construction of the protective clothing and for the garment as a whole. The performance requirements of the garment as a whole including component parts, such as gloves, etc., that are integral to the garment are given in clauses 5 and 6.

Diese Norm legt die Mindestanforderungen an spraydichte Chemikalienschutzanzüge mit spraydichten Verbindungen zwischen den verschiedenen Teilen der Kleidung und mit den Handschuhen und Stiefeln zum Schutz des Trägers gegen flüssige Chemikalien fest. Sie legt die Leistungsanforderungen an die Konstruktionsmaterialien der Schutzkleidung und an das Kleidungsstück als Ganzes fest.

La présente norme spécifie les exigences minimales demandées aux vêtements de protection chimiques étanches aux brouillards entre les différentes parties du vêtement, ainsi qu'aux gants et aux bottes destinés à protéger le porteur contre les produits chimiques liquides. Elle spécifie les exigences de performance pour les matériaux constitutifs du vêtement de protection et pour l'article d'habillement dans sa totalité.
