Smoke alarm devices
This document specifies requirements, test methods, performance criteria, and manufacturer's instructions for smoke alarms that operate using scattered light, transmitted light or ionization, intended for household or similar residential application.
This document includes additional requirements for smoke alarms, which are also suitable for use in leisure accommodation vehicles.
For the testing of other types of smoke alarms, or smoke alarms working on different principles, this document should only be used for guidance. Special features of smoke alarms, such as radio interlinking or special characteristics and developed for specific risks, are not covered by this document.
This document allows, although it does not require, the inclusion within the smoke alarm of facilities for interconnection with other similar smoke alarms and/or accessories, and for alarm silencing. Where such facilities are included, this document specifies applicable requirements.
This document does not cover devices intended for incorporation in systems using separate control and indicating equipment.
NOTE Certain types of smoke alarms contain radioactive materials. The national requirements for radiation protection differ from country to country and they are not specified in this document. Such smoke alarms should, however, comply with the applicable national requirements.
Rauchwarnmelder
Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren sowie Leistungskriterien fest und gibt Herstelleranweisungen für Rauchwarnmelder, die nach dem Streulicht , Durchlicht oder Ionisationsprinzip arbeiten und für Anwendungen in Haushalten oder für vergleichbare Anwendungen in Wohnbereichen vorgesehen sind.
Dieses Dokument enthält zusätzliche Anforderungen für Rauchwarnmelder, die auch für die Anwendung in bewohnbaren Freizeitfahrzeugen geeignet sind.
Für die Prüfung von anderen Typen von Rauchwarnmeldern oder von Rauchwarnmeldern, die nach anderen Prinzipien arbeiten, sollte dieses Dokument nur als Leitfaden angewendet werden. Spezielle Eigenschaften von Rauchwarnmeldern, z. B. Funkverbindung, oder Eigenschaften für spezielle Risiken sind nicht Gegen-stand dieser Norm.
Dieses Dokument erlaubt, obwohl nicht gefordert, dass Rauchwarnmelder mit anderen gleichen Rauchwarnmeldern und/oder Zusatzeinrichtungen verbunden werden, und eine Alarmstummschaltung. Wenn solche Einrichtungen verwendet werden, legt dieses Dokument die zu erfüllenden Anforderungen fest.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Geräte in Anlagen mit getrennten Steuer und Anzeigeeinrichtungen.
ANMERKUNG Bestimmte Arten von Rauchwarnmeldern enthalten radioaktive Werkstoffe. Die nationalen Strahlenschutzanforderungen sind von Land zu Land unterschiedlich und diese sind nicht Gegenstand dieses Dokuments. Diese Rauchwarnmelder sollten jedoch den jeweiligen nationalen Anforderungen entsprechen.
Dispositifs d'alarme de fumée
La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences, les méthodes d’essai, les critères de performance et les instructions du fabricant pour les dispositifs d’alarme de fumée qui utilisent le principe de diffusion ou de transmission de la lumière, ou de l'ionisation, pour des applications domestiques ou similaires.
La présente norme inclut des exigences supplémentaires concernant les dispositifs d’alarme de fumée qui conviennent également à une utilisation dans des camping-cars.
Pour les essais relatifs à d'autres types de dispositifs d’alarme de fumée ou à des dispositifs d’alarme de fumée fonctionnant selon différents principes, il convient que la présente norme soit utilisée à titre de guide uniquement. Les dispositifs d’alarme de fumées présentant des fonctions spéciales, telles qu'une liaison radio, ou des caractéristiques spéciales et conçus pour des risques spécifiques, ne sont pas couverts par la présente norme.
Cette norme permet, le cas échéant, d'inclure dans le détecteur de fumée des dispositifs d'interconnexion avec d'autres dispositifs d’alarme de fumée similaires et/ou accessoires, et de neutralisation de l'alarme. Lorsque des dispositifs de cette nature sont inclus, cette norme spécifie les exigences applicables.
Cette norme ne couvre pas les dispositifs destinés à être incorporés dans des systèmes qui utilisent des équipements de commande et d'indication séparés.
NOTE Certains types de dispositifs d’alarme de fumée contiennent des substances radioactives. Les exigences nationales en matière de protection contre les radiations varient d'un pays à l'autre et ne sont donc pas spécifiées dans la présente norme. Il convient toutefois que des dispositifs d’alarme de fumée de ce type soient conformes à la réglementation nationale applicable.
