Dieser Teil der Europäischen Norm legt mechanische Sicherheitsanforderungen an Büro-Arbeitstische fest.
ANMERKUNG In der Englischen Fassung der Norm haben die Benennungen "table" und "desk" die gleiche Bedeutung und zur Vereinfachung wird dort im weiteren Verlauf der Norm nur noch die Benennung "table" verwendet.
Eine vergleichbare Norm ist für Büroschränke in Vorbereitung. Büro-Arbeitstische mit Registraturfunktionen sollten, wo anwendbar, beide Normen erfüllen.

La présente partie de cette Norme Européenne prescrit les exigences mécaniques de sécurité des tables de travail de bureau.
NOTE Dans la version anglaise, les termes " table " et " desk " ont la même signification. Pour une simplification, seul le terme " table "est utilisé.
Une norme similaire est en préparation pour les meubles de rangement. Il convient que les tables de travail de bureau incluant des éléments de rangement satisfassent les 2 normes lorsque cela s'applique.

This document EN 527-2:2002 has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 207 "Furniture", the
secretariat of which is held by IBN/BIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or
by endorsement, at the latest by April 2003, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by
April 2003.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following
countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain,
