Solid biofuels - Determination of moisture content - Oven dry method - Part 2: Total moisture - Simplified method
This European Standard describes the method of determining the total moisture content of a sample of solid biofuels by drying in an oven and may be used when the highest precision is not needed, e.g. for routine production control on site. The method described in this document is applicable to all solid biofuels.
The total moisture content of biofuels is not an absolute value and conditions for its determination have to be standardised to enable comparative determinations to be made.
NOTE The term moisture content, when used with biomass materials, can be misleading since untreated biomass frequently contains varying amounts of volatile compounds (extractives) which may evaporate when determining moisture content by oven drying.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Gesamtgehaltes an Wasser einer Probe von festen Biobrennstoffen durch Trocknen in einem Ofen fest und darf angewendet werden, wenn keine hohe Präzision erforderlich ist, z. B. zur regelmäßigen Produktionsüberwachung im Betrieb. Das in diesem Dokument festgelegte Verfahren gilt für alle festen Biobrennstoffe.
Der Gesamtgehalt an Wasser von Biobrennstoffen ist kein absoluter Wert, und die Bedingungen für seine Bestimmung müssen genormt sein, damit vergleichbare Bestimmungen möglich sind.
ANMERKUNG Der Begriff Wassergehalt kann bei der Anwendung im Zusammenhang mit Biomasse irreführend sein, weil unbehandelte Biomasse oft unterschiedliche Mengen an flüchtigen Verbindungen (Extraktstoffen) enthält, die bei der Bestimmung des Wassergehaltes durch Ofentrocknung verdampfen können.

Le présent document décrit la méthode de détermination de la teneur en humidité totale d’un échantillon de biocombustibles solides par séchage à l’étuve. Cette méthode peut être utilisée lorsque la précision la plus élevée n’est pas nécessaire, par exemple, pour un contrôle de la production en routine réalisé in situ. La méthode décrite dans le présent document est applicable à tous les biocombustibles solides.
La teneur en humidité totale des biocombustibles n’est pas une valeur absolue et il est nécessaire de normaliser les conditions de sa détermination afin de permettre la réalisation de déterminations comparables.
NOTE Lorsqu’il est employé dans un contexte de matériaux de biomasse, le terme « teneur en humidité » peut prêter à confusion car la biomasse non traitée contient souvent des quantités variables de composés volatils (extraits) qui peuvent s’évaporer, lors de la détermination de la teneur en humidité par séchage à l’étuve.

Ta evropski standard opisuje metode določevanja celotne vlage vzorca trdnih biogoriv s sušenjem v peči in se lahko uporablja, kadar ni potrebno zelo natančno določevanje vlage, npr. za rutinsko kontrolo proizvodnje na kraju samem. Metoda, opisana v tem dokumentu, se uporablja za vsa trdna biogoriva. Celotna vlaga biogoriv ni absolutna vrednost in pogoji njenega določevanja morajo biti standardizirani, da bi omogočali izvedbo primerjalnega določevanja.
