This document provides guidance for the information to be provided by a furniture manufacturer to paint and varnish suppliers and the information to be provided by a paint and varnish supplier to furniture manufacturers, in order to assist in the selection of coating materials and coating systems for wood-based material in furniture for interior use.
This standard should be a reference document to be used with the test methods and specifications of the different types of furniture.
NOTE For the purpose of this guide, wood-based materials with modified surfaces are included in this document (laminates, etc.)

Dieses Dokument stellt einen Leitfaden für Informationen des Möbelherstellers an die Beschichtungs-stoffhersteller
und des Beschichtungsstoffherstellers an die Möbelhersteller dar, um die Auswahl von
Beschichtungsstoffen und Beschichtungssystemen für Holz und Holzwerkstoffe, die für die unterschiedlichen
Möbelarten im Innenbereich verwendet werden, festzulegen.
Diese Norm sollte ein Bezugsdokument sein, das zusammen mit den Prüfverfahren und Spezifikationen für
die unterschiedlichen Möbelarten anzuwenden ist.
ANMERKUNG Für den Zweck dieses Leitfadens sind auch Holzwerkstoffe mit veränderten Oberflächen in diesem
Dokument eingeschlossen (Laminate usw.).

Le présent document constitue un guide qui contient les informations qu’un fabricant de meubles doit
communiquer aux fournisseurs de peintures et vernis ainsi que les informations qu’un fournisseur de
peintures et vernis doit donner aux fabricants de meubles afin de faciliter la sélection des produits de peinture
et systèmes de peinture pour les matériaux à base de bois dans le mobilier d’intérieur.
Il convient que la présente norme soit un document de référence, à utiliser avec les méthodes d’essai et les
spécifications des différents types de mobilier.
NOTE Dans le cadre du présent guide, les matériaux à base de bois ayant des surfaces modifiées sont inclus dans
le présent document (stratifiés, etc.).
