This document specifies requirements for weldable structural steels made of hot finished seamless and high frequency welded hollow sections to be used in the fabrication of fixed offshore structures.
The following thickness limitations are given in this standard:
-   for seamless hollow sections up to and including 65 mm;

Greater thicknesses can be agreed, provided the technical requirements of this European Standard are maintained.

Minimum yield strengths up to 770 MPa are specified together with impact properties at temperatures down to -40 °C.

Hot rolled products of structural steels - Part 2: Technical delivery conditions for non-alloy structural steels

This document specifies the technical delivery conditions for flat and long products as well as semi-finished products which are meant for further processing to flat and long products of hot rolled non-alloy quality steels in the grades and qualities given in Tables 1 to 5 (chemical composition) and Tables 6 to 8 (mechanical properties) in the usual delivery conditions as given in 6.3. Three engineering steels are also specified in this document (see Tables 2 and 4) (chemical composition) and Table 7 (mechanical properties). This document does not apply to structural hollow sections (see EN 10210 1 and EN 10219 1) and tubes.
The technical delivery conditions apply to:
-   thicknesses ≥ 3 mm and ≤ 150 mm for long products of steel grade S460JR, J0, J2, K2 and S500J0;
-   thicknesses ≤ 400 mm for flat products of qualities JR, J0, J2 and K2;
-   thicknesses ≤ 250 mm for flat and long products of all other grades and qualities.
The steels specified in this document are not intended to be heat treated except products delivered in the delivery condition +N. Stress relieving is accepted. Products delivered in +N condition can be hot formed and/or normalized after delivery (see Clause 3).
This document foresees that semi-finished products which are to be converted to rolled finished products conforming to this document are the subject of special agreements at the time of the order. The chemical compositions are also agreed to at the time of the order; the values are within the limits of Tables 1 and 2.
For certain grades and product forms suitability for particular applications are specified at the time of the order (see 7.4.2, 7.4.3 and Table 9).

Weldable structural steels for fixed offshore structures - Technical delivery conditions - Part 4: Cold formed welded hollow sections

This document specifies requirements for submerged arc welded (SAW) and high frequency welded (HFW) cold formed hollow sections to be used in the fabrication of fixed offshore structures.
The thickness limit for SAWL circular hollow sections is up to and including 50,8 mm, for HFW circular hollow sections up to and including 25,4 mm and for HFW square and rectangular hollow sections up to and including 12,5 mm.
Greater thicknesses for SAWL hollow sections can be agreed provided the technical requirements of this European Standard are maintained.
NOTE 1   This document has an Annex E for SAWH round hollow sections with a thickness limit of 30,0 mm, and an Annex F for high strength square and rectangular HFW hollow sections made of steel grades S500 to S700.
This European Standard is applicable to steels for offshore structures designed to operate in the offshore sector but not to steels supplied for the fabrication of subsea pipelines, risers, process equipment, process piping and other utilities. This document specifies requirements for weldable structural steels, in the form of sections (e.g. H-, I-, Z-sections, U-channels, angles and tees) excluding hollow sections, to be used in the fabrication of fixed offshore structures. The thickness limitation in this standard is up to and including 63 mm.
For steel qualities with mechanical properties in the transverse direction (named xL1O) sections with flange widths smaller than 180 mm and channels with flange widths smaller than 90 mm cannot be ordered.
Greater thicknesses may be agreed, provided the technical requirements of this European Standard are maintained.
This European Standard is applicable to steels for offshore structures, designed to operate in the offshore sector but not to steels supplied for the fabrication of subsea pipelines, risers, process equipment, process piping and other utilities.
