ISO 10769:2011 specifies a method for determining the water absorption of bentonite. The bentonite component is a part of clay geosynthetic barriers (GBR-C). Water absorption depends on the specific surface of the fine particles and the surface activity of the bentonite. The test provides an index value for production control testing of GBR-C.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Wasseraufnahme von Bentonit fest.

von der spezifischen Oberfläche der feinen Partikel und der Oberflächenaktivität von Bentonit bestimmt. Die
Prüfung bietet einen Indexwert für die Prüfung der Produktionskontrolle geosynthetischer Tondichtungsbahnen
(GBR-C).

L'absorption d'eau dépend de la surface spécifique des particules fines et de l'activité de surface de la bentonite. L'essai fournit un indice pour les essais de contrôle de la production des GSB.

Ta mednarodni standard določa metodo za določevanje absorpcije vode bentonita. Komponenta bentonita je del glinenih geosintetičnih ovir (GBR-C). Vodna absorpcija je odvisna od določene površine finih delcev in površinske aktivnosti bentonita. Preskus zagotavlja vrednost indeksa za produkcijsko kontrolno preskušanje GBR-C.

"Geosynthetics" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 189 “Geosynthetics” the secretariat of
which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by December 2011.
