ISO 16495:2013 specifies the information needed for the design type testing of packaging, Intermediate Bulk Containers ( IBCs) and large packaging intended for use in the transport of dangerous goods.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Informationen für die Bauartprüfungen von Verpackungen, Großpackmitteln (en: Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC)) und Großverpackungen fest, die zum Transport gefährlicher Güter vorgesehen sind.
ANMERKUNG 1   Diese Internationale Norm kann nur in Verbindung mit einer oder mehreren der in den Literaturhinweisen aufgeführten internationalen Vorschriften angewandt werden.
ANMERKUNG 2   Der Begriff "„Verpackungen“" bezieht Verpackungen für die Klasse  6.2 infektiöse Stoffe nach den Vereinten Nationen ein.

L'ISO 16495:2013 spécifie les informations nécessaires aux essais de modèle type relatifs aux emballages, aux grands récipients pour vrac (GRV) et aux grands emballages destinés à être utilisés pour le transport de marchandises dangereuses.

Ta mednarodni standard določa informacije, potrebne za tipsko preskušanje zasnove embalaže, vmesnih vsebnikov (IBC) in večje embalaže, namenjene za uporabo pri prevozu nevarnega blaga. OPOMBA 1: Ta mednarodni standard se lahko uporablja v povezavi z enim ali več mednarodnimi predpisi iz poglavja Bibliografija. OPOMBA 2: Izraz »embalaža« zajema embalažo za infektivne snovi razreda 6.2 v skladu z opredelitvijo Združenih narodov.

This document (EN ISO 16495:2013) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 122 "Packaging" in
collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 261 “Packaging” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by February 2014.
