ISO 27065 establishes minimum performance, classification, and marking requirements for protective clothing worn by operators handling pesticide products as well as re-entry workers. For the purpose of ISO 27065, the term pesticide applies to insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other substances applied in liquid form that are intended to prevent, destroy, repel, or reduce any pest or weeds in agricultural settings, green spaces, roadsides, etc. It does not include biocidal products used for agricultural and non-agricultural settings.
Pesticide handling includes mixing and loading, application, and other activities such as cleaning contaminated equipment and containers. Concentrated pesticides are typically handled during mixing and loading. Protective clothing covered by ISO 27065includes, but is not limited to, shirts, jackets, trousers, coveralls, aprons, protective sleeves, caps/hats and other headwear (excluding hard hats made of rigid materials, e.g. hats worn by construction workers), and accessories used under knapsack/backpack sprayers.
ISO 27065 does not address items used for the protection of the respiratory tract, hands, and feet. ISO 27065 does not address protection against fumigants.

Diese Internationale Norm stellt die Mindestanforderungen an die Leistung, die Klassifizierung und die Kennzeichnung von Schutzkleidung auf, die sowohl von Anwendern von Pestizidprodukten als auch von Personen getragen wird, die Nachfolgearbeiten durchführen. In dieser Norm bezieht sich der Begriff Pestizid auf Insektizide, Herbizide, Fungizide und verschiedene andere Substanzen, die in landwirtschaftlichen Einrichtungen, in Grünanlagen, an Straßen usw. angewendet werden. Dazu zählen keine Biozidprodukte, die entweder landwirtschaftlich oder nicht landwirtschaftlich verwendet werden.
Die Handhabung von Pestiziden umfasst das Mischen und Befüllen, die Anwendung sowie weitere Tätigkeiten wie die Reinigung von kontaminierter Ausrüstung und von kontaminierten Behältern. Üblicherweise werden während des Mischens und Befüllens konzentrierte Pestizide verwendet. Schutzkleidung, die in dieser Internationalen Norm behandelt wird, umfasst Hemden, Jacken, Hosen, Overalls, Schürzen, Schutzärmel, Kappen/Hüte und weitere Kopfbedeckungen (außer Schutzhelmen aus starren Materialien, die z. B. von Bauarbeitern getragen werden) und Zubehör, das unter Rückenspritzgeräten verwendet wird, ist jedoch nicht darauf beschränkt.

L'ISO 27065 établit les exigences de performance minimale, de classification et de marquage pour les vêtements de protection portés par les opérateurs manipulant des pesticides ainsi que par les travailleurs de rentrée. Aux fins de l'ISO 27065, le terme «pesticide» s'applique aux insecticides, herbicides, fongicides et autres substances appliquées sous forme liquide qui sont destinés à prévenir, détruire, repousser ou contenir les organismes nuisibles ou les mauvaises herbes en milieu agricole, dans les espaces verts, sur les bords de routes, etc. Il ne couvre pas les produits biocides utilisés en milieu agricole et non agricole.
La manipulation des pesticides inclut les opérations de mélange et chargement et d'application, et d'autres activités telles que le nettoyage des équipements et récipients contaminés. Les pesticides concentrés font généralement l'objet de manipulations lors du mélange et du chargement. Les vêtements de protection concernés par le l'ISO 27065 comprennent, entre autres, les chemises, vestes, pantalons, combinaisons, tabliers, manchettes de protection, casquettes/chapeaux et autres couvre-chefs (exclusion faite des casques de protection constitués de matériaux rigides, par exemple les casques portés par les travailleurs du bâtiment), ainsi que les accessoires utilisés en dessous des pulvérisateurs à dos.
L'ISO 27065 ne traite pas des articles utilisés pour la protection des voies respiratoires, des mains et des pieds. Il ne traite pas de la protection contre les fumigants.

Ravnanje s pesticidi vključuje njihov nanos v razredčeni sestavi, mešanje in polnjenje ter druge dejavnosti, kot so čiščenje kontaminirane opreme in posode. This document (EN ISO 27065:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 94 “Personal
safety - Protective clothing and equipment” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 162
“Protective clothing including hand and arm protection and lifejackets” the secretariat of which is held
by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2018.

This European Standard has been prepared under a Commission’s standardization request to provide
one voluntary means of conforming to essential requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the
European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on personal protective equipment.
Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Regulation (EU)
2016/425, compliance with the normative clauses of this standard given in Table ZA.1 confers, within
the limits of the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential
requirements of that Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and associated EFTA regulations.
