ISO 2812-4:2017 specifies spotting methods for determining the resistance of an individual-layer or multi-layer system of coating materials to the effects of liquids or paste-like products.
These methods enable the testers to determine the effects of the test substance on the coating and, if necessary, to assess the damage to the substrate.

Dieses Dokument legt Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Beständigkeit einer einzelnen Schicht oder eines Mehr-schichtsystems aus Beschichtungsstoffen gegen die Einwirkung von Flüssigkeiten oder pastenförmigen Produkten mittels des Tropf-/Fleckverfahrens fest.
Diese Verfahren ermöglichen es, die Wirkung der Prüfsubstanz auf die Beschichtung und, falls notwendig, die Schädigung des Substrates zu beurteilen.

L'ISO 2812-4 :2017 spécifie des méthodes, à la tache, de détermination de la résistance d'un système de peinture monocouche ou multicouche à l'action de liquides ou de produits pâteux.
Ces méthodes permettent aux opérateurs d'évaluer l'effet de la substance d'essai sur le revêtement et, si nécessaire, d'évaluer la détérioration du subjectile.

This document (EN ISO 2812-4:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 “Paints
and varnishes” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2018 and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2018.

1 Scope
This document specifies spotting methods for determining the resistance of an individual-layer or
multi-layer system of coating materials to the effects of liquids or paste-like products.
These methods enable the testers to determine the effects of the test substance on the coating and, if
