Thermal insulation products of buildings - In-situ formed products from loose-fill expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads and bonded expanded polystyrene beads - Part 2: Specification for the bonded and loose-fill products after installation

This European Standard specifies the requirements for expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads and the adhesive, which are after installation used for the thermal insulation of buildings. The EPS beads and the adhesive are mixed and processed on site.
This standard does not specify the required level of a given property to be achieved by a product to demonstrate fitness for purpose in a particular application. The levels required for a given application are to be found in regulations or non-conflicting standards.
This standard does not cover factory made insulation products in the form of prefabricated shapes or boards made of bonded EPS beads.
Products with a declared thermal resistance lower than 0,25 (m² x K)/W or a declared thermal conductivity at 10 °C greater than 0,1 W/(m x K) are not covered by this standard.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an Produkte aus losen expandierten Polystyrolkugeln (EPS) und gebundenen expandierten Polystyrolkugeln fest, die an der Verwendungsstelle in zweischaliges Mauerwerk und Rahmenkonstruktionen eingebracht werden.
Diese Europäische Norm ist eine Spezifikation für die eingebauten Wärmedämmstoffe.
Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt in Verbindung mit EN 16908-1 die Produkteigenschaften, die mit den wesentlichen Anforderungen der Verordnung (EU) Nr. 305/2011 im Zusammenhang stehen. Sie legt außerdem sowohl die Überprüfungen und Prüfungen, die für die vom Verarbeiter des Produktes abzugebende Erklärung anzuwenden sind, als auch die Festlegungen zur Konformitätsbewertung fest.
Diese Europäische Norm legt keine Anforderungsstufen für eine bestimmte Eigenschaft fest, die ein Produkt erreichen muss, um für einen bestimmten Anwendungszweck gebrauchstauglich zu sein. Derartige Anforderungsstufen für einen bestimmten Anwendungsfall sind Regelwerken oder nicht entgegenstehenden Normen zu entnehmen. La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences relatives aux produits formés à partir de billes en polystyrène expansé (PSE) en vrac et de billes en polystyrène expansé liées mis en œuvre dans les murs de maçonnerie à double paroi et les constructions à ossature.
La présente Norme européenne est une spécification pour les produits isolants mis en œuvre.
La présente Norme européenne décrit, conjointement avec l’EN 16809 1, les caractéristiques du produit qui sont liées aux exigences essentielles du Règlement (UE) n° 305/2011. Elle décrit également les contrôles et essais à utiliser pour établir les déclarations faites par l’installateur du produit ainsi que les règles applicables à l’évaluation de conformité.
La présente Norme européenne ne spécifie pas le niveau requis d’une propriété donnée qu’un produit doit atteindre pour en démontrer l’aptitude à l’emploi dans une application particulière. Les niveaux requis pour une application donnée figurent dans les réglementations ou les normes non contradictoires. Par exemple, voir la note dans la section Domaine d’application de l’EN 16809 1 concernant la possibilité, dans différents États membres, d’essais spécifiques d’infiltration d’eau.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2017, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by July 2017. Thermal insulation products of buildings — In situ formed products from loose-fill expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads and bonded expanded polystyrene beads, consists of the following parts: — Part 1: Specification for the bonded and loose filled products before installation — Part 2: Specification for the bonded and loose-fill products after installation (the present document). This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association. EN 16809-2:2017 (E) 5 1 Scope This European Standard specifies the requirements for products of loose-fill expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads and bonded expanded polystyrene beads installed in masonry cavity walls and frame constructions. This European Standard is a specification for the installed insulation products. This European Standard describes, when taken together with EN 16809-1, the product characteristics that are linked to the essential requirements of the Regulation (EU) 305/2011. It also specifies the checks and tests to be used for the declarations made by the installer of the product and the rules for the evaluation of conformity. This European Standard does not specify the required level of a given property to be achieved by a product to demonstrate fitness for purpose in a particular application. The levels required for a given application are to be found in regulations or non-conflicting standards. For example, see the note in the scope of EN 16809-1 regarding the possibility of special water penetration tests in different Member States. Products with a declared thermal conductivity at 10 °C greater than 0,060 W/(m·K) are not covered by this standard. This European Standard does not cover factory made expanded polystyrene products in the form of mats, batts, rolls or boards.
