Requirements for sleeping bags

This European Standard specifies definitions and general requirements as well as provisions for marking and the Information supplied by the manufacturer for sleeping bags used in sports and leisure time activities.
It does not apply to sleeping bags intended for specific purpose such as e.g. military use and extreme climate zone expedition.

Anforderungen an Schlafsäcke

Diese Europäische Norm legt Definitionen und allgemeine Anforderungen sowie Bestimmungen zur Kennzeichnung und Herstellerinformation für Schlafsäcke fest, die bei Sport- und Freizeitaktivitäten benutzt werden.
Sie gilt nicht für Schlafsäcke, die für besondere Zwecke vorgesehen sind, wie z. B. militärische Verwendung und Verwendung bei Expeditionen in Extrem-Klimabereiche.

La présente Norme européenne donne les définitions, prescrit les exigences générales, indique les dispositions à prendre concernant le marquage et les informations à fournir par le fabricant pour les sacs de couchage utilisés pour les sports et loisirs.
Elle ne s'applique pas aux sacs de couchage à usage spécifique, comme par exemple les sacs à usage militaire ou les sacs d'expédition pour climats extrêmes.
