Specifications for particular types of winding wires - Part 55: Solderable polyurethane enamelled round copper wire overcoated with polyamide, class 180

This part of IEC 60317 specifies the requirements of solderable enamelled round copper winding wire of class 180 with a dual coating. The underlying coating is based on polyurethane resin, which may be modified providing it retains the chemical identity of the original resin and meets all specified wire requirements. The superimposed coating is based on polyamide resin.

La présente partie de la CEI 60317 spécifie les exigences concernant les fils de bobinage de section circulaire en cuivre émaillé de classe 180 avec un double revêtement. La sous-couche est à base de résine polyuréthane, qui peut être modifiée pourvu qu'elle conserve l'identité chimique de la résine initiale et réponde à toutes les exigences du fil. La surcouche est à base de résine polyamide.

Foreword
The text of document 55/1027/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 60317-55, prepared by IEC TC 55, Winding
wires, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as
EN 60317-55 on 2008-02-01.
This standard is to be used in conjunction with EN 60317-0-1:1998.
It should be noted that the clause numbering in this standard is not continuous due to the deletion of tests
no longer a part of the EN 60317-0 series of specifications for general requirements. Additionally, a
placeholder is provided for future winding wire tests so as to maintain a separation from winding wire
requirements from those for packaging.
The following dates were fixed:

at national level by publication of an identical
(dop) 2008-11-01
national standard or by endorsement
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
(dow) 2011-02-01
with the EN have to be withdrawn
