IEC 62047-19:2013 defines terms, definitions, essential ratings and characteristics, and measuring methods of electronic compasses. This standard applies to electronic compasses composed of magnetic sensors and acceleration sensors, or magnetic sensors alone. This standard applies to electronic compasses for mobile electronic equipment.

Ta del standarda IEC 62047 določa terminologijo, definicije, bistvene vrednosti in lastnosti ter merilne metode elektronskih kompasov. Ta standard se uporablja za elektronske kompase, ki so sestavljeni iz magnetnih senzorjev in senzorjev pospeška ali samo magnetnih senzorjev. Ta standard se uporablja za elektronske kompase za mobilno elektronsko opremo. Za več podrobnosti o morskih elektronskih kompasih glejte ISO 11606. Elektronski kompasi se imenujejo tudi »e-kompasi«. Tipi e-kompasov so: dvoosni e-kompasi, triosni e-kompasi, šestosni e-kompasi itd., vsi pa so zajeti v tem standardu.
