This amendment A27 modifies the European Standard EN 60061-1:1993; it was approved by CENELEC on 2014-06-09. CENELEC
members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the
status of a national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC
Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the

This document (EN 60061-1:1993/A27:2014) consists of the text of IEC 60061-1:1969/A27:2001
prepared by SC 34B "Lamp caps and holders" of IEC/TC 34 "Lamps and related equipment", together
with the common modifications prepared by CLC/TC 34Z "Luminaires and associated equipment".
The following dates are fixed:
– latest date by which the document has to be implemented (dop) 2015-06-09
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting (dow) 2017-06-09
with the document have to be withdrawn

This document supersedes EN 60061-1:1993/A27:2001.
EN 60061-1:1993/A27:2014 includes the following significant technical change with respect to
EN 60061-1:1993/A27:2001: Sheet 7004-130-1 is deleted.
This standard covers the Principle Elements of the Safety Objectives for Electrical Equipment
Designed for Use within Certain Voltage Limits (LVD - 2006/95/EC).
