PART II
1. SCOPE
This IS0 Recommendation relates to shanks for pneumatic tools. It is a continuation and a supplement of
IS0 Recommendation R 1 180, Shanks fur pneumatic tools and fitting dimensions of chuck-bushing - Part
This IS0 Recommendation deals with the following types :
- Breaker and spade shanks (see Tables 1 and 2)
- Light rivet snap shanks, tapered (see Tables 3 and 4)
- Light rivet snap shanks, parallel (see Tables 5 and 6).
Other types of tools will be dealt with in further IS0 Recommendations, as the corresponding studies are
complete d.
Pneumatic hammers and their chuck-bushings are not covered by this IS0 Recommendation, but those fe tures
of chuck-bushings (dimensions and tolerances) which ensure interchangeability are listed in this Recommendation.
For each tool mentioned above, this IS0 Recommendation provides a table giving
recommended dimensions in rnillimetres,

2. INTERCHANGEABILITY
The numerical values retained in this IS0 Recommendation ensure interchangeability even if the shank and the
corresponding chuck-bushing are not manufactured in the same system of units.

DEUXIÈME PARTIE
1. OBJET
La présente Recommandation ISO, relative aux queues d’outils pneumatiques, fait suite, en la complétant, à la
Recommandation ISO/R 1 180, Queues d’outils pneumatiques et dimensions d’interchangeabilité des douilles
porte-outil Première partie.
Elle concerne les types suivants :
- queues de brise-béton et bêches (Voir Tableaux 1 et 2)
queues de petites bouterolles cylindriques
(Voir Tableaux 3 et 4)
à grand arrondi de raccordement
- queues de petites bouterolles cylindriques (Voir Tableaux 5 et 6)
D’autres types d’outils pourront faire ultérieurement l’objet de Recommandations IS0 au fur et a mesure de
l’achèvement des études correspondantes.
Les marteaux pneumatiques et leurs douilles porte-outil ne font pas l’objet de la présente Recommandation ISO,
mais les dimensions de la douille porte-outil (valeurs et tolérances) qui assurent l’interchangeabilité y sont données.
Pour chacun des outillages énumérés ci-dessus, la présente Recommandation IS0 comporte un tableau donnant
les dimensions recommandées en millimètres;

2. INTERCHANGEABILITÉ
Les valeurs numériques retenues dans la présente Recommandation IS0 assurent l’interchangeabilité, même si la
queue et la douille porte-outil correspondante n’ont pas été réalisées dans le même système d’unités.
