Overview

ISO 8904:1990 specifies methods for measuring the length, width, thickness and volume of broadleaved (hardwood) sawn timber. The standard applies to unplaned, square‑edged and unedged sawn timber and was prepared by ISO/TC 55 (Sawn timber and logs). ISO 8904:1990 defines how to take consistent dimensional measurements so that volume and size data are comparable for commercial, quality and inventory purposes.

Foreword
IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide
