REDLINE ISO/FDIS 18980 - Tourism and related services — Camping tourism — Requirements and recommendations for campsite facilities and services
Overview
ISO 18980: Tourism and Related Services – Camping Tourism – Requirements and Recommendations for Campsite Facilities and Services provides a comprehensive framework for enhancing the quality, safety, and sustainability of campsites. This international standard applies to campsites located in both natural and developed areas, catering to a wide array of camping accommodations such as tents, recreational vehicles, mobile homes, and camping houses. Developed for campsite owners, operators, and regulators, ISO 18980 establishes essential requirements and recommendations to deliver consistently high standards in sanitation, accessibility, safety, design, and environmental stewardship within camping tourism.
The standard aims to ensure that campsites not only meet fundamental safety and environmental obligations but also offer an excellent and memorable guest experience. By implementing ISO 18980, campsites can significantly enhance their service quality, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning in the global tourism market.
