BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 405, Aircraft Tow Bar Connections to Tractors, was
drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 20, Aircraft, the Secretariat of which is held
by the British Standards Institution (BSI).
Work on this question by the Technical Committee began in 1952 and led, in 1957,
to the adoption of a Draft IS0 Recommendation.

La Recommandation ISO/R 405, Anneau de la barre d’attelage aéronefltracteur,
a été élaborée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 20, Aéronautique, dont le Secrétariat
est assuré par la British Standards Institution (BSI).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question furent entrepris par le Comité Technique en
1952 et aboutirent en 1957 à l’adoption d’un Projet de Recommandation ISO.
En août 1960, ce Projet de Recommandation IS0 (No 359, fut soumis à l’enquête
