Adhesives - Wood adhesives for non-structural applications - Determination of tensile shear strength of lap joints
This European Standard describes tests for adhesives for wood and derived timber products for the assessment of their resistance to hot and cold water. It can be used for the assessment of the strength of bonds with a thin or thick bond-line. It does not apply to adhesives for structural use nor to the manufacture of particle boards, fibreboards and plywood. It does not replace tests on finished products.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt Prüfungen für Klebstoffe für Holz und Holzprodukte im Hinblick auf ihre Beständigkeit gegen warmes und kaltes Wasser. Sie kann zur Beurteilung der Klebfestigkeit von Klebungen mit dünner oder dicker Klebstofffuge verwendet werden. Sie gilt weder für Klebstoffe für tragende Bauteile noch für die Herstellung von Spanplatten, Faserplatten und Sperrholz. Sie ersetzt keine Objektprüfungen.

La présente Norme européenne décrit les essais pratiqués sur les adhésifs pour bois et produits dérivés du bois afin d'évaluer leur résistance a l'eau chaude et a l'eau froide. Elle peut etre utilisée pour évaluer la résistance au cisaillement des joints collés minces ou épais. Elle ne s'applique pas aux adhésifs a usages structuraux ni a la fabrication des panneaux de particules, des panneaux de fibres et des contreplaqués, et ne remplace pas des essais de produits finis.
