Swap bodies - Swap bodies of Class A - Dimensions and general requirements

This European Standard specifies the dimensions and basic requirements for swap bodies of class A, which are designed as totally enclosed types e.g. box types, or as open types e.g. platform without or with cover/stake. These swap bodies are suitable for international exchange and for conveyance by road and rail including interchange between these forms of transport. Note: Class A means that all swap bodies having this designation are equipped with bottom fittings positioned according to the specification for 1A (40') ISO-Containers

Diese Europäische Norm legt die grundsätzlichen Anforderungen für Wechselbehälter der Klasse A fest, die sowohl als geschlossene Aufbauten, z.B. als Kofferaufbau, als auch als offene Aufbauten, z.B. Pritsche, ohne oder mit Verdeck (Plane und Spriegel) ausgeführt werden. Diese Wechselbehälter können für den internationalen Warenverkehr und die Beförderung auf Straße und Schiene einschließlich des Wechsels zwischen diesen Transportarten verwendet werden.

La présente norme européenne fixe les dimensions et les prescriptions de base des caisses mobiles de classe A, de construction entièrement fermée comme par exemple les types fourgons, ou ouverte comme par exemple les plates-formes avec ou sans bâche. Ces caisses mobiles sont destinées aux échanges internationaux en transport combiné rail/route et assurant également le transfert entre ces deux modes de transport.
