Tools for woodworking - Safety requirements - Part 3: Clamping devices

This document applies to hazards arising from the design and application of clamping devices for the fastening of milling tools and circular saw blades on woodworking machines and specifies the methods for the elimination or reduction of these hazards by the design of the clamping device and by the provision of information. This document does not apply to arbors for spindle moulding machines in accordance with EN 848 1 as well as clamping flanges for circular sawing blades to be used on circular sawing machines in accordance with the standard series EN 1870 and does not cover hazard related to the connection of the clamping device with the machine. Bore mounted tools which are mounted or clamped on an adapter, an arbor or a mandrel shall be considered as a shank mounted tool.

Maschinen-Werkzeuge für Holzbearbeitung - Sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen -Teil 3: Spannzeuge

Dieses Dokument befasst sich mit den Gefährdungen, die von der Gestaltung und Anwendung von Spannzeugen zum Befestigen von Fräswerkzeugen und Kreissägeblättern auf Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen herrühren und legt die Verfahren für die Beseitigung oder Verringerung dieser Gefährdungen durch die Gestaltung des Spannzeuges und durch die Bereitstellung von Informationen fest. Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für Fräserdorne für Tischfräsmaschinen nach EN 848 1 sowie für Spannflansche für Kreissägeblätter zur Verwendung auf Kreissägemaschinen nach der Normenreihe EN 1870 und bezieht Gefährdungen bezüglich der Verbindung vom Spannzeug zur Maschine hin nicht ein. Bohrungswerkzeuge, die auf einem Adapter, Aufnahmedorn oder Aufspanndorn befestigt oder eingespannt werden, sind wie Schaftwerkzeuge zu betrachten.

Le présent document s'applique aux phénomenes dangereux provenant de la conception et de l'utilisation des outils de serrage pour la fixation des outils de fraisage et les lames des lames de scies circulaires sur les machines a bois et spécifie les méthodes d'élimination ou de réduction de ces phénomenes dangereux lors de la conception de l'outil de serrage et par la fourniture d'informations. Le présent document ne s'applique pas aux axes des toupies conformes a l'EN 848-1 ainsi qu'aux flaques de serrage des lames de scies circulaires utilisées sur les machines a scier circulaires conformément a la série des normes EN 1870 et ne couvre pas les phénomenes dangereux relatifs a la connexion de l'outil de serrage avec la machine. Les outils avec alésage montés ou serrés sur un adaptateur, un arbre ou un mandrin doivent etre considérés comme des outils a queue.
NOTE   La définition d'une machine pour le travail du bois est donnée dans l'EN 847-1.

machines — Safety", the secretariat of which is held by BSI.

1 Scope
This document applies to hazards arising from the design and application of clamping devices for the fastening of
